The RG3 era is over. At this point, you HAVE to cut the guy. The distraction with him on the team would be overwhelming to keep him.

He probably wasn't until McC had to convince him.

Oh God, do I know it. I work in Baltimore. I feel like their fandom feels like how much everyone loved the Redskins in their heyday.

It both sickens me and makes me jealous.

Hang your head.....naught. It is indeed a time to rejoice as ownership, coaching staff and Mgmt are on the same page and positioning to have a competitive season. Really happy with our Skins for the unified effort to get this done BEFORE the season starts.....
Sucks for Robert and I really like that kid, but had be done.

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

I tried to trade RG3 in madden last night and all 31 teams had a "red" interest level.

breaking up is never easy.

after a few regular season games, some good D, maybe a 2-2 start and all this RG3 talk will be in the rear view mirror and we will be talking football Xs and Os, stats, how callahan and grays schemes work or dont work etc.

regular football talk is coming.

All is well.

Pretty sure if a person wants to change fandom they need to go to the last place team. How do you look in that jags teal and sand brown? What happens if the skins finish last? I think you have the option to just retire or stay a skins fan for 1 more year.

If/when RGIII is released, I would like to see Scot McC go after Jared Goff QB out of Cal-Berkeley in next years draft, he's the second coming of A. Rodgers.

May we sacrifice him at the stake for the glory of the football gods? Yes, I fear it is the only way. In the name of the Lombardi, the Halas, and the Holy Ghost of Sammy Baugh, amen.

It may require them all
After watching Robert in the pre.....
I was really dreading how this season was going to lay out. SM's presence is taking shape, and I like it.

Nooooooooo...............

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...ly-diminished/

Two people with knowledge of the team’s planning each said Snyder is not blocking his front office and coaching staff from trading Griffin. One called an ESPN report that suggested that, “100 percent wrong.”
Sounds like Snyder has seen the light and is now putting out spin control. Something like "He didn't block it, just wanted to make sure all aspects were considered blah blah blah".

Not gonna lie I'm glad it's over and yes I was a huge fan of his but the drama and all that needs to go. I'd trade him for a 4 or 5 and say good luck.

PS also glad our QB won't be wearing some dumb sleeve and glove on just one arm either that got annoying.

Whatever happens I trust that it will make the team better, will have full fan support, and will be done without a lot of drama in the press. And at the end of the year there will be no turnover of FO or coaching staff. Also unicorns.

1) I doubt he'd garner a 4th or 5th rounder

2) You can't trade him due to that 16million option they picked up earlier this year.

I think our only resort will be to cut him.

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015

Just watched First Take on ESPN...

Everyone on the show, except Skip Bayless, agreed that both the Redskins and RG3 need to move on.

Both Shannon Sharp and Jeff Saturday commented on the reasons that RG3 needs to "retool" his game, and needs to find a situation that fits him.

Skip Bayless instead, completely blamed the Redskins organization and Jay Gruden.

Skip Bayless is a complete idiot.
