Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread

Well... I'm not holding out much hope for this game. Here's to hoping it's not a blow out at least.

I'd feel better about this game if we didn't have so many injuries.

I'm always hopeful. We'll play hard. We might even win.

I hope we win. I always hope we win, but I also am concerned with the amount of injuries we have.

On a semi-related note, I'm also worried about the longevity of Jordan Reed. Hasn't he had a concussion every season since he's been here? Dude might wanna consider hanging it up sooner rather than later before his brain turns into soup.

Damn whats with the long faces people? So far this year We have played four games. Fins - we played well but we didnt finish drives. I chalk it up to first game jitters against an opponent that was supposed to be pretty good. Rams - hello. Giants - short week on the road and we shot ourselves in the foot so many times that the Meadowlands grounds crew are still trying to pick up all the shell casings. Eagles - hello. We have been a pretty good team so far. We are not exactly the lamb being led off to the slaughter here.
Keep the faith.

I completely agree! As much as I like Jordan Reed's play, with all of the concussions, I too think that Reed should call it quits.

As for the game today, I am actually a bit optimistic.

This week I heard that the Redskins have the top ranked Rushing Offense and a highly ranked Defense.

Also, as some of the sports media have mentioned, the Atlanta Falcons are somewhat over rated.

Remember, the Falcons have won a couple of their games at end with a few good plays.

So while the Falcons are a good team, and at the moment undefeated, they are beatable.

I just hope it doesn't worsens. Me being me, I just wouldn't play him when I have Roddy, who says he still has plenty left in the tank and hankerson who has stepped in the #2 spot decently. That's just me. I'm not a coach so that's irrelevant as can be

The redskins are banged up and the falcons actually have a run game to fall back on. What does it hurt to sit him? Screw any record he was on pace of setting or fantasy stats.

If he feels good then play him, if he's still feeling tightness sit him.

The Redskins are no one to sleep on they have the number 1 run defense and leads the league in time of possession. They are going to try and run the ball with Morris and Jones while using Thompson out of the backfield on passing situations and play keep away.
We need to get out to a quick lead and make them play catch up with Cousins but beware when Cousins feels no pressure his completion rate is over 75%.
Just saying this game is no cake walk yes they are banged up but mostly in the secondary where we need to feast.

Stop the run, control the clock, pressre Ryan. Redskins compensate Reed's loss by using a heavy load of Crowder and Thompson.

Julio appears to be hurt on that hamstring and some reports had him as questionable so we may catch a break Here. Overall if we can dominate the clock we will have a chance

That would be a huge break. Though we shouldn't underestimate Roddy. Or Hank apparently. Hank was such a bitch for us. I wish someone would just nail him on a crossing route.

He is listed as Q, but according to team sources, will play at about 80%. We will see if they are FOS or not......
Dunbar may have to kick it up a notch....or two. I wonder what goes through a Rook's mind getting his first start against perhaps the best in the NFL?

He's only doing good because of Julio getting all the attention. He's still an avg WR that dropped too many passes in Washington. I don't miss the guy at all
