As of now, a source said Washington plans to keep its colors burgundy and gold. That could, perhaps, change in the future but the plan for now is to keep the color scheme as they undergo a search for a new name.

Someone said Warthogs and I liked the hogs but not the wart.
Then I just saw a nice combo of Warpath and Warthogs. War Hogs. Check out the first pic. I kinda like incorporating hogs, but in a nasty tough way rather than a skin disease way. https://www.nbcsports.com/washington...ns-name-change

I do like Redwolves though.
Redhawks are kinda cool too...and they are around the area. Warriors is out...too Native American Redtails is out...too African American In terms of DC specific, I can see Senators, Federals In terms of Military, I can see Warriors, Generals
