Re: Around the NFL…Week 3

have to give Prescott his respect. He has turned out to be a really damn good QB. Their team fell apart w/out him last year. When he is in there the Cowboys are the clear NFC East leaders. Not sure that is saying much these days...lol.

"Micah Parsons is a better pass rusher than Chase Young and he's a natural LB" - Skip Bayless

Yikes

Dak gets respect and seems like a good guy.

Hes at the top of the tier 2 QBs behind the Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers, Wilsons of the world.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 3

Eli and Peyton had me uncontrolled giggling last night. Maybe it was the edible but i couldnt stop laughing when Eli stood up to do the Dak hip twitch pregame routine and Peyton said Eli was wearing child mid size jeans.

edit -- apparently they dont do another until the week 7 MNF game

Parsons has looked decent (and I would have been fine if we drafted him at 19), but I don't understand all the over-the-top love for this guy already.

Skip is a imbecile (and a Dallas Homer). He has no business being in this business...

Its a "what have you done for me lately" thing. Parsons does look quick off the line, beating his man quickly ... but just seems like he is always on an island with a LT and he has so much room to go inside or outside.

Hes a blue chip talent.

I hear that phrase a bunch i swear i don't understand where it originates from.

I understand it means unique great talent but what is it referring to.

Blue Ribbon talent in my mind makes more sense.

He's a PBR talent - a very blue collar linebacker, doesn't cost too much but will get you drunk if you drink enough of them.

Wait what were we talking about?

Young had room to go inside or outside Sunday too. He went to the outside of the outside.

I think I first heard it in that movie The Program. Google says it derives from a stock market term.

Not to make excuses for him, but he played almost exclusively on the left side during this game, and I wonder if it wasn't the game plan for him to play more of a containment role since J Allen is much more comfortable escaping the pocket to his right and making plays on the run.

Blue collar is just a hard working dude that does all the dirty work with little fan fare.

One could say: the favorite beer of blue collar workers is PBR which won a blue ribbon in 1893 at the World's Fair.

Still doesn't answer the blue chip question.
