Re: Thailand cave rescue

Yeah seriously. I feel bad for those kids, but it sounds like they never should have gone in that deep in the first place. Especially in spots so small where air tanks can't fit through. I'm sure it wasn't flooded when they first went in there but somebody should've had some common sense given that it's monsoon season.

Hope the rescue works and everybody in there comes out alive, but from the diagram on that article seems like that's easier said than done.

I also wonder if they've thought about bringing in some drilling equipment to open up the tight spots more. Maybe they could dig down towards the front to bring the water levels down? Sounds like they're not going to get all the water pumped out before the rain starts up again. Maybe they could also put up a temporary blockade at the front of the cave to keep the incoming rains out?

Re: Thailand cave rescue

11 hours from the entrance of the cave to where the kids are. That's crazy.

So far eight boys have been rescued and all operations have been called off for the night. As of 4 pm today.

Wouldn't be great if one of the boys would have emerged wearing a MAGA red hat?

The comments sections/Twitter would be entertaining...
