A Draft Idea

The Baltimore Ravens do not have a draft pick until the 3rd round this year. Why not trade the #5 pick to Baltimore for Terrell Suggs, place him on the D-line as a DE?

I don't know if the Ravens would bite, but Suggs' contract doesn't expire until 2008 and it's for an average of $3 million a year.

I'd take it in a hearbeat; he's a pass rushing monster and he could switch between DE and OLB with Marcus Washington.

I'd rather get the multitude of picks that we can get for trading down a couple of times and still pick up udeze who even though I've never seen any footage of him seems highly regarded on this site. I'm gonna keep holding onto the hope that we can draft j. grove of va tech to be a monster center for us for years to come as well as a solid cb to battle bauman for the nickel spot(too short.)

Interesting idea. I'm still all for Taylor if he's still there at #5. I think he'll put fear into anyone brave enough to come across the middle on the 'skins.

I'm with Daseal on this one (how bout that, we agree!). I think having a guy like Taylor at SS will improve every facet of the defense. He adds an extra dimension to the defense that offenses will have to account for at all times, or they'll face the consequences. Taylor can cover, come up in run support, and blitz. That's the kind of player I want. Can you imagine being a runningback and seeing LaVar and Taylor coming at you? I want our opponents to see that. Don't get me wrong, I think that Suggs is a great player, but I think Taylor would help the D more.

yeah I would say stick with Taylor at the 5th pick but if not, like I said in another post, the safety out of Iowa sounds pretty solid too
