Washington vs Card Pre Game
Must win
And now a twist, instead of Colt McCoy returning, he’s just been cut. Dobbs will be the starter at QB who they just traded for. We cannot lose this game

Re: Washington vs Card Pre Game
I'd be shocked if AZ scores 10 points

Re: Washington vs Card Pre Game
Lets face it, the first game is likely to be by far the easiest, if they lose it or make too much hard work winning it then Ron is straight onto the hotseat with the fanbase, and the owner notices stuff like that.

From what we’ve seen from camp, they’ll be fine

Re: Washington vs Card Pre Game
I was pretty surprised that Colt got cut. But they were going to be bad w/ him, plus he can't stay healthy anyway. What a mess the Cards are. Probably want to draft Williams or the kid on NC.
Defense always struggles w/ running QB's but they gotta dominate these guys. If they lose this game, Ron's officially on the hot seat. |

Re: Washington vs Card Pre Game
Yes we should we win this one. Yes they shouldn't be able to score a lot on us.
I wouldn't sleep on their defense though. They are fast, bring pressure, and tackle well. In pre-season it took 3 drives for Mahomes and KC's 1st to be able to move the ball on them. Good test for our offense !

Re: Washington vs Card Pre Game
I really hope nobody is taking the Cards for granted - yes from the outside looking in it looks like they're tanking but we should already know nothing comes easy for this team. I expect a dogfight.
Also r.e. Ron's comments about not knowing what a good player Howell was last year, and Pat McAfee saying Ron has basically lost his fastball - I'm getting real 2007 Joe Gibbs vibes here. Ron has been through a lot the last few years and he did get this organization back to a respectable standpoint. I wouldn't be surprised if we have another 7-10 win year and a quick playoff exit (if we even make it there) and he retires after this year.

Re: Washington vs Card Pre Game
Arizona's defense wasn't good last year. I'm not sure they'll be much better this year. That said, our offense hasn't proven anything yet either. I think I'm expecting a fairly even matchup.
Maybe we have (should have) the edge with our D against their O. On paper the D looks pretty good, but they got gashed a lot in the preseason, and then stepped up when it counted numerous times too. The offense looked pretty good for the most part with Sam at the helm, but how much of that was vanilla Ds and going against 2s and 3s? We'll see. Probably should win by 7-10 points, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's closer or we lose. I'm just not exactly sure what to expect yet. |
