We do not have a starting LG on the roster. We could replace all 5 guys up-front next year.

There is not a single guy on the line that is a keeper or has any potential whatsoever. Stromberg maybe but I really have no idea.

Yup. And Allen can fuck off. Payne is still out there making plays. Allen is sulking. Those are absolutely the three guys though. Davis has shown me enough that I think scheming could benefit him. Maybe Kurl? Everyone else is an absolute lost cause.

For one thing he's been constantly double-teamed since we traded our starting DE's.

no more than 25 penalty yards
no more than 1 turnover

The Commanders did all that today and lost by 35.
So you're saying they had a miraculous game? Wow!

This is mind numbing. Basically we can find a way not only to lose, but get blown out at all costs.

57-0 and we not only lost but got steamrolled. So basically coaching and personnel. That is 110% Ron. He picks his staff, the players, and is the HC. Wow. Ron really is a legendary loser.

90M + in cap space and I’d use half of that on Ol and the other half on Defense

Agreed. It's easy to get down on the whole roster, but especially with linemen on both sides of the ball, the standard and performance of the unit matters most to both the on field performance and the individuals. with an effective C and RT, Cosmi should be a very good starter. And maybe even Leno (if we keep him) with a good LG.

Likewise Allen and Payne, with a good edge added and improved performance from the likes of Henry, good see a resurgence.

Maybe even Davis, in the right scheme and the right colleagues, could validate his 1st round status.

We've got to be careful of a baby and the bath water scenario here.

Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread

The reality is that we will have some holdover players, of course -- we can't just jettison everyone as we wouldn't be able to fill all the holes with FA and the draft. I suspect we keep Davis and Hudson as the only 2 LBs, Cosmi, Leno, Stromberg, and Larsen on the OL, Payne, Allen, and Ridgeway as DL, Toohill, Henry, and Jones, as DE, McLaurin, Dotson, and maybe Crowder as WRs, all of our RBs, Turner and Bates as backup TEs, Fuller and Martin as DBs, Kurl and Forrest at S, and Way at P. That's 25 guys -- not sure the rest are worth keeping and most of the others most definitely are not.

Re: Commanders v. Dallas Post Game Thread

I'm shocked some people want to keep Davis, for me he'd be the first one out of the door, he's garbage.
