Trufant to the Lions. What it going to take to trade for Darius Slay?

Too much in draft capital and cash. As Ruhskins said, we're not a likely contender in RR year 1, so why break the bank now? Build via the draft.

We've brought back Fuller and if we are after Breeland then why pay high for Slay? Not comparing him talentwise, but we did that with Norman it it didn't make a big difference because of deficiencies elsewhere, including coaching. We need to build up a team not just throw money at it.

Assuming this definitely means the end of the Chris Thompson era. I'll miss him. Go Noles!

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

It’s been a measured and thought out free agency so far. Contributing young talent. Veteran LB to lead the young lb core. Sean Davis will be auditioning for a bigger contract with us...he will be a key player to watch.

Missing out of bigger targets, we should get that extension done with Schreff with that money.

Like us to get Sanders to mentor the young WR group.

Moving Trent now would be great so we can sign a decent replacement now while trying to draft the future.

Agree 100%. I've wanted him all along. BTW, the man can still play. Great route runner, catches the ball, fearless on inside routes, runs well, reputation as a great teammate and mentor to younger players. One or two year contract would be nice.

The Redskins will sign TE Logan Thomas, per source.

Aren't all of our tight ends that at the moment? I suppose they will pick the best 2 from what they have.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

I'm fine w/ us staying pat at wr. We got 3-4 young guys that got a chance to play. You can't take Terry and Sims off the field because they have earned the right to be starters. You can argue that Sims, (an undrafted FA out of that powerhouse Kansas) was our best wr at the end of last season. So I'm coming back w those guys, plus Harmon, Cam Sims and maybe draft a guy in the mid or later rounds. Glad Cooper stayed w/ the Cowboys. Don't need to pay a stat guy who isn't clutch 20 mil per.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

Two guys in limbo that I haven't heard anything about are Trey Quinn and Ryan Anderson.

Quinn can't possibly still be the starter in the slot with Simms performance last year, so what do we do with him?

With all of these linebackers we have been signing, the local beat reporters are mentioning how Holcomb and SDH fit the new defence but not a word on whats happening to Ryan Anderson... another wasted 2nd round pick ?

Anderson is probably gone. He really doesn't have a position in the 4-3. Quinn can back up Sims. It will be interesting to see what they do w/ Holcomb. He can play in the middle or on the weak side. Same w/ SDH.

The Bucs are not keeping Bernard Perriman, would be a great signing for us.
