Would be nice but I don't see it happening. The Nats went from hot to not. Our bullpen is still a mess and I don't see them becoming the kind of lockdown pen you need to advance in the postseason.

Congrats to the Braves.

Nice to see Pete "Polar Bear" Alonso pass that fraud for the rookie HR title

Re: 2019 mlb

Glad we're here but the wild card game is a complete toss up. Nats are hot right now but the only team hotter is the Brewers.

Re: 2019 mlb

Wow, what a finish. Felt like I was watching an hourglass empty the first 8 innings. Clutch hit by Soto there. I worry about this team going forward, Max hasn't looked right since he came from the IL. But for one night, we dance.

Awesome...I went to bed and missed it. but thrilled they won....I cant stand the Dodgers and think Brewers would get swept. Nats have a stronger team and could give LA a real challenge

What an awesome game! Or should I say finish to the game...talk about some flukey stuff to happen to get the win. Nice to see a team I root for get some of the breaks for a change! For fans of the Redskins and Nats, that gave us a reason to smile and something else to think about for the weekend.

I am going to say this with caution...but this Washington Nationals time kind of reminds me of the 2017-2018 Washington Capitals team that Won the Stanley Cup.

If you all remember, the 2017-2018 Washington Capitals team wasn't really all that powerful during the season and were kind of floundering during the season, but they turned-it-on towards the end of the season and in the Playoffs. Also the 2017-2018 Washington Capitals team had a Fighting Sprit and a sort of Never Say Die attitude. This Washington Nationals team seems to have the same sprit.

Re: 2019 mlb

I am watching Walker Buehler pitch and he threw a 97 mph fastball and followed it with an 80 mph knuckle curve. How is that even fair? That is unbelievable.
