Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
LA better get the job done or else it will look like GW was correct in holding him out. This is LAs chance to right the ship and get his career back on track and in the big picture, a good remainder of the season would make it easier for the skins to trade LA and actually get something of value for him.

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
Do you think they'll trade him if he comes in and plays like we all hope and expect him to?

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
If he comes in and plays at a high level, and more importantly plays within the system to Williams' satisfaction, I think he'll remain a Redskin.
At this point it's all up to LaVar. |

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
I wonder how much of LaVar's (apparent) increased playing time is actually because of the relative strength of our opponent? Would the coaching staff take a gamble on LaVar playing within the system if we were playing Philly, or do the Niners give us a little "room for error"?

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
I'm thinking it'll be a gradual phase-in. I'd think if it were NY or Philly they would maybe give him a few select snaps and wait for someone like SF to give him some real playing time.

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
I think a trade would go one way or another. I mean say he comes in and is a bust, do you think anyone would give anything of value for him considering his contract?
And if he comes in and kicks ass, I'm sure he'll be an integral part of the D that we all expect him to. I really have some good feelings about him this Sunday.

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
I would like to think all the fan backlash and media attention has a little to do with Levar getting some snaps and maybe Levar himself stepped up his intensity in practice because of all attention. It's a no-lose situation for the coaching staff, if Levar steps up and plays well, they can say, "The timing was right". If he fails to make a difference, they can say, "I told you so". I'm hoping, "THE TIMING IS RIGHT".

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
Williams' comments highlighted that maybe they felt Arrington wasn't physically ready to go in. I wonder if that was at least part of it?

LaVar rushed himself back last time and look what happened. We should also remember that LaVar hasn't seen significant action in a long time, he missed a lot of camp and probably wasn't in top football shape. Perhaps the staff had their doubts and didn't want to take any chances in rushing him back. I still think there are other issues at play here, but one that's been overlooked could definitely be him being physically ready to handle the load. |

I'll believe it when I see him on the field. The proof is in the pudding. Let's just wait and see.
Trading Lavar is not an option. I don't see how the team can take that huge cap hit. |

Re: Good News Lavar Fans!!!
I think no matter how he plays he will be traded. For whatever reason LA is just not GWs guy (like PR was not Gibbs' guy) and nothing he does will change that.

Evil Joe is gonna get you Malcolm! (P.S - I agree with you. Remember, one of the reasons they gave for not playing him against Denver was that Denver played a lot of cutback that required lane discipline. Perhaps, just perhaps, lane discipline may not be much of a factor when there are any lanes created by SF in the first place). |
