Willis at 73? Someone needs to seriously re-calibrate their draft software

I think that was at 42, not so bad but still very unlikely

It's probably based on it's player rankings from December and doesn't take into account the QB premium.

There will
Absolutely be a quarterback at 11. Im hoping its Willis. If not than Strong in the second and maybe we grab a LB, S, or OL in the first.

Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread

I am not a fan of picking Willis, probably because of the RGII and Haskins picks, i.e. Athletes with raw QB skills. Willis needs developing, I don't think he will receive enough time or patience here, he needs to go somewhere where there is a decent starter for him to backup, learn from and then replace in 2-3 years

I should probably clarify that I don't much like any of our options this year, so trade down for an extra 1 next year

Willis is a popular pick and I see why but he's not going to help Ron Rivera keep his job because Willis is going to need time to develop. If the Coms sign a FA QB then, yes, draft Willis because he is an exceptional athlete with huge upside who can play a Taysom Hill type role as he develops his QB skills.

On the flip side he could make the argument that Willis is the absolute best QB pick at 11 for us (if he thinks Willis actually is based on talent), but he will need at least a year to develop.

I definitely hope we bring in a veteran QB and sign a starting MLB in free agency.

Drafting to save your job should not be a strategy. Draft the best football players.

Re: Official 2022 NFL Draft Thread

I think a new poll for if we absolutely had to take a QB at 11, who would you take, would be interesting.

I don't think there's a large push for any 1 particular option. I change my mind about every day.

I go back and forth with multiple guys as well. Pickett, Willis, or Corrall would be my only considerations at 11.

Willis or Ridder for me, has been since day 1.

Corral is always hurt , Pickett's gloves kill me
