Re: U.S. Vacation Spots

Scenario for you guys.

You're obligated to spend 3 full days in Phoenix with your brother and 3 of his friends. You don't know any of them real well except your brother. So far the only thing locked in is some sort of atv/shooting combo experience. What else are you doing with your time?

Grand Canyon is out of the question because nobody wants to drive 400 miles round trip in a day and lose a night at the expensive Airbnb we all paid for. I'm sure one of the nights we'll be eating a nice dinner and hitting the bar afterwards, but other than that I don't have any solid ideas. Google shows a lazy river and potential scenic/hiking spots near Phoenix that I'm sure will be crowded because it's 4th of July weekend. Other than that I got nothing.

some of the best vacations i ever had were when i woke up and said each day WTF should we do.

I hate the structure vacation because each day you never know the groups mood.

I know you are just looking for general ideas.

top Golf is always fun or a dave and busters trip

or plan a bbq hang out day at the bnb

Been there. Been a while though. I would look online for reviews as they have everything. 6th street is amazing. Austin, TX is widely considered the best city in the region (TX, KS, OK, AR). UT's campus is like a small city in itself. Let me know how it goes.

We just booked an Alaskan cruise through Royal Caribbean. Anyone with any experience with these?

Austin is definitely a top notch food town, the bbq was amazing. Great city, I’d definitely go back.

Re: U.S. Vacation Spots

Going on a guy's trip to Nashville the weekend of the draft.

I'd like to encourage some people here to plan a trip out there for that weekend. We can have a draft party.

NashVegas!!!
I wasn’t impressed with the glitties but their music scene is great.

I might have to consider this.

Hopefully it's far enough out in advance for at least 1-fellow Commando to make it out there. Would be a pretty fun trip. It was just coincidence that it landed on the draft weekend. But glad it did.
