A lot of it comes down to how Mayfield reacts to it. If he puts his ego aside and plays as long as Watson is suspended in hope to get a good contract for another team, it'll ease it out for the Browns, if he says "f you I'm not playing a snap for ya trade me", the Browns will be in a very tough spot.

Not a bad return on investment considering he paid $800M in 1999

Not arguing if that is right or wrong, just estimating.
Does anyone know how much Watson is guaranteed?

Gotta be hella insulting to Baker - how do you think that convo goes if Watson can't play this year?

"Hey, sorry we thought you weren't shit compared to Watson, sorry we gave up 3 first rounders for him and guaranteed him 230 million, anyways we're kinda in a bind and you're the best option so what do you say? We need you to step up again this year. Plus it will look bad if you abandon your teammates in their time of need."

A true legend would report, act like everything is fine, then purposely throw interceptions every pass in the regular season. Whoopsies.

LOL, so it's Bakers fault? JHC, what is wrong with you? Baker did nothing wrong, why wreck his career and purposely look bad, he was asked not to go to the OTA's by the team.

If I’m Baker there is zero chance I’d ever suit up for the Browns again
