Just beat the fucking Jaguars. If we don't win that one, the season is already over. In 4 days we will know if the season already sucks or if we can pump the sunshine.

Re: 2022 Commanders Season Prediction Thread
I'm not as brave as Chief, but I think 10-7 is very much possible. I don't see the need to fear anyone in the division and 4 of 6 wins are possible there. Aside from that 3 game stretch starting with GB, all the other games are winnable.

8-9. Last in the division and Ron is given his walking papers.

If we get the Wentz from the last 2 years 6-11
If we get the Wentz from the 3 previous years 11-6 Sadly I think the former is the most likely.

My biggest concern is whether they once again start slow against what should be the easiest part of the schedule forcing them to have go on an unbeaten run mid season just to get into the playoff discussion |

2020 was an off year for him, but he basically had no O-line. Their Center was the only O-lineman that didn't end up on IR that year, and I read somewhere that they went through like 14-15 different O-line combinations that year. I get the argument that a franchise QB should be able to overcome the shortcomings around him - elevate the team despite... but that was just a bad team. He doesn't necessarily get a pass, but you can't put that season all on him. Not even close. Let's not forget, Philly fired the Head Coach two months before they traded Wentz to Indy (for a 1st and 3rd). It's hard to find a bad year beyond his rookie year and 2020, yet if you listen to the national media, he is a complete scrub. It's somewhat laughable. |

I am concerned about the d also. If we don't get a pass rush, lbs in coverage may be a huge issue. This is a big year for Del Rio to see if he can get something going.

Re: 2022 Commanders Season Prediction Thread
In order for them to be a really good d they need serious production from Young. He was the #2 pick in the draft and right now he is out for a while. But when he was healthy last year not much. You just can't miss on that pick. That would hurt any team but especially this one. They need him to be dominate.

Re: 2022 Commanders Season Prediction Thread
After losing a game they should have won against the Broncos, this team won four in a row against the Buccaneers, Panthers, Seahawks, and Raiders. In that five game stretch against Teddy Bridgewater, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, and Derek Carr, the defense only gave up 17 points per game. Then they were blasted by injuries and COVID issues going into five games in a row against Division opponents. According to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News, they lost a total of 111 games by starters in 2021. Only the Lions, Ravens, Giants and Jets had worse injury luck last season.
I am on the side of the fence that saw the defense improving last year, only to be snake-bitten for the most important stretch of the season. I see no reason why that improvement can't carry over this year, especially if the offense improves. |

Re: 2022 Commanders Season Prediction Thread
7 wins a disaster..
11 wins a miracle… So Somewhere in the middle .. my gut says 9 wins The first 2 games are the most important in recent history .. we win those then playing .500 ball the rest of season will get it done , lose the first 2 and it will be a long season .. |

Re: 2022 Commanders Season Prediction Thread
I think 7-10. I think they start off slow (like always)...maybe barely beat the Jags but lose to Lions, Eagles, and boys...get better towards the end of the season but too little too late. Defense is bad again and JDR is let go. I really think their only chance at a winning season is Wentz and the passing game are on point because Turner finally has a QB with an arm and they just put up points every week to outscore their bad defense.

Re: 2022 Commanders Season Prediction Thread
Never won more than 10 under Snyder and that won't change this year. 10 wins is the ceiling if things break right. I think more than likely it's 8-9 wins.

It's sad but I was more excited about the new brand than I am this season.. Until they actually start winning I will expect losing seasons
