So unprofessional. Pittsburgh is handling it the right way. Either play for us or stay home and pass on 14 million.

Granted both sums of money are outrageously large to me, and likely everyone on this board, but still the risk of losing an extra 9million seems like a bad move to me.
These are the rules that were set by the owners and the union. No one asked Bell to play RB for a living. He made that choice. If he doesn't want to play under the rules that were set then he can just stay home, which he has obviously decided to do. Also no one's career ends these days when a knee is blown out.

I never said slavery and if certain words make you uncomfortable then that is your issue. You can get help for that.
My point is you and I can decide where we want to work and can maximize our income by shopping our talents to multiple employers creating a bidding scenario. That is all I meant by freedom and ownership. Dont put words in my mouth.

After five years of obligation to the team that drafted you that should be enough. The Franchise tag is a tool for owners to prevent player movement and to try and keep salaries down. Basically saving the owners from themselves, because it is another owner that is bidding for your player.
Most Redskins fans did not like the first time we franchised KC. Much less the second time. It was a mistake and very unpopular.

Watched him overthrow a completely wide open WR. Seemed about right.

Alot of the game goes to the Minn D. KC mismanaged the end of the first half, but he definitely likes being Minnesota so I expect he will be better throughout the season.
