As a Yankee fan I have absolutely no hatred of the Mets. Why would I? Lol. They pose absolutely no threat of unseating the Yankees as New Yorks team, and We play them a few times every year.
I simply think it is remarkable that their fan base who talks more trash about them every year (much more than any Yankee fan) gets so head over heels whenever they show a heartbeat. Especially in this case when they literally went on a run against the three worst teams in the league. But hey lets go mets go!

They did what they needed to do to keep their wildcard hopes alive, but come on man. It was against the three last place teams in the NL and the White Sox. 11 under to 3 over = shitty to mediocre. Im gonna stop now because I truly do not hate the Mets. I hate the Redsox. I have never hated the Mets. I am being 100% subjective. Not a fan. Not a hater. If i look at their recent winning ways I see a team who took advantage of three borderline AAA teams. Thats all.

lol right, Yankees fans are so modest...

I don't care who you are, when your team wins 19 out of 25 to climb back into the race in August you're going to be excited.

Great win by the Mets tonight. The ToddFather comes up huge. You guys own the Nats though. Your true test will be beating the hated Braves down the stretch. But big time win tonight.

Re: 2019 mlb

Aside from a magical Stanley Cup run for the Caps, the Nats last night did a typical DC move, losing in the worst way possible. I put it half on Doolittle for having a bad night and half on Martinez for not yanking him after he blew the save. Martinez is starting to trend in a bad way of making bad decisions at the worst possible times.

I imagine everyone picking Houston now after they got Grinke. At this point, I'd be surprised if it wasn't Houston, Yankees, or Dodgers.

Re: 2019 mlb

May 2019: Nats bullpen is a disgrace
August 2019: after 3 trade deadline additions, Nats bullpen is still a disgrace.

Rizzo's downfall will be wasting the talent on the starting pitching staff because he can't build a bullpen worth a shit.

Yes he did. Then he sprinted around the bases and had a profanity based celebration with his boys at the plate. Absolutely destroyed the ball. Memorable walk off grand slam.
