Re: #22 Rogers!
It would make field goals interesting.

Re: #22 Rogers!
It is what it is. I don't know why people make a big deal out of it. He's a DB, not a WR. The guy can't catch. Tell me something I don't know.

Re: #22 Rogers!
Yes, but catching the ball IS part of his job.
If he were a LB, it would be less of an issue...but INTs are part of what a DB is SUPPOSED to do. This would be like a catcher who can't throw the ball...like Jorge Posada who only throws out 14% of base-stealers. Yes, he's great at other parts of his game, but his one big issue does end up costing the team far more often than it should. Makes for a tough decision for the team.

Re: #22 Rogers!
So when you're watching games and you see him drop INTs on a weekly basis, your initial reaction is just meh, not his job?

Re: #22 Rogers!
At this point I just laugh cause he's dropped so many. His first job is to cover and he's been doing a decent job. Would you rather have Rogers, who has been covering well, or Hall who catches everything but can't cover Danny Amendola. Give me Rogers.

Re: #22 Rogers!
This isn't a stat I would have expected Rogers and Revis to share

Re: #22 Rogers!
Ironically, playing Madden last night Carlos Rogers made a one-handed pick. If I could figure out how to save Madden highlights, I would have. Of course, Madden Carlos Rogers also proceeded to drop three INTs in that same game.

Re: #22 Rogers!
I haven't bothered looking but Rogers should have the worst hands in the game in Madden.

Re: #22 Rogers!
They just provide extra stress on the fans in their own ways. I don't unequivocally like either. Rogers could have changed many games for the better, but he did not make the plays.

Re: #22 Rogers!
Most - - not all to be sure but most - - defensive backs are players who cannot catch the ball well. If they were reliable catchers, they would be WRs. DBs have comparable speed to WRs; they are agile like WRs. Other than the fact that WRs tend to be a bit taller on average than DBs, the most significant difference between the players who man those positions is the ability to catch a football reliably.
Carlos Rogers is an extreme example of this point - - but it is true for well more than half the DBs in the NFL.
