Re: NFL things and stuff.....

Panthers currently have a +20 on the turnover ratio this year. Their fans are going to be in for a rude awakening next year when they don't get those kinds of numbers. Here is the history:

2010 T-(-8) Record: 2-14

2011 T- +1 Record: 6-10

2012 T- +1 Record: 8-9

2013 T- +11 Record: 12-4

2014 T- +3 Record: 7-8-1

2015 T- +20 Record: 15-1

I wouldn't even be surprised if the end up being a 10 win team next year. It's not like they added tons of talent on that 7-8-1 team from the previous year.

Re: NFL things and stuff.....

if they win a superbowl, i doubt the fans would mind that much.

also, don't discount newton's development. he doubled his passing tds this year (35 vs 18) with 2 less ints, and he's cut his fumbles lost in half (4 this year vs 9 last year).

that's +7 right there. i'd bet on them being pretty good next year, depending on how many players they can keep. i don't think back to back +20 (or more) t/o's is very likely though.

That was pretty bad wasnt it?
A bunch of hugging on the field and tomfoolery on the sidelines.
I'd rather see it turned into a glorified punt pass and kick contest.

NFL things and stuff.....

They should just have a skills competition or something. The game is just laughably bad.

Re: NFL things and stuff.....

Thanks for the recap guys, glad I didn't watch. I used to be one of those holdouts that would watch the Pro Bowl because of how obsessed I was with football. But as I kept watching and I realized how lackadaisical the players are about it I lost interest. The antics reminded me of watching Haynesworth lay on the ground like a fat fish on that play against the Eagles all those years ago. Now since Sundays are my only day off I have way better things to do than watch that trainwreck.

If you're simultaneously a CJ fan and a Cowboys hater like me you'll enjoy this article about Calvin Johnsons' career highlights.

@howardeskin

Negotiations continue between #eagles and DT-DL Fletcher Cox for deal that could be worth over 100M w 60-70M guaranteed. @FOX29philly

Did Philly hire Vinny?

Punters sleeping on the sidelines, kickers calling their sweeties (or either ordering pizza?)

Bunch of waste of time. I'd rather see the hottest cheerleaders of each team play in the Pro Bowl. Now THAT, I'd tune into.

I heard he was thinking seriously about it, but wow...surprising.

Frieking Detroit makes guys want to hang it up still in their prime.

Unbelievable.
