2014 NBA Draft

Hey folks, this is probably the most interesting NBA draft in awhile with a decent depth and talent as well as the chance for the big name trades (Rondo, Love, Affalo).

Being a Wiz Head it kinda sux because we dont have a first but I want to officially throw my support behind picking UVA's Joe Harris in the second round. Size and shooting off the bench, decent athlete.

I really hope Ernie doesnt go overseas, this would make me irate. Pick Harris.

i cant believe that Philly would ever entertain that deal. Its absolutely horrible. MCW is better then what they would get at 7 and nash is just garbage. I think Philly grabs Embiid at 3.

What Nash trade? No way in hell would I trade anything for Steve Nash at this point in his career. Riddled with injuries has taken its toll on his game.

76ers should draft young/cheap talent.

Well it'd be Nash and the #7 overall pick for MCW. Not going to happen though

Lakers would be smart to draft Marcus Smart and call it a day.

Drafting Embiid means the future is in the hands (or rather back, feet) of two risky big men. If they're both healthy, that is a ridiculous front court.

I'd actually look at grabbing Exum and sliding him to the 2. That would be a very interesting front court.

Kobe's going to want to win during his window, so I wouldn't be surprised to see this pick traded.

On another note, I think Chicago is the best fit for Melo. If Rose is healthy (big if), he and Melo can worry about scoring and the rest of the team can play their normal defense.

It doesn't matter who they get in a trade, that team isn't going anywhere anytime soon. They'd have to bring in Carmelo and LeBron just to make them competitive and even then they wouldn't have the bench to outlast teams like the Spurs/Thunder/Rockets.

For one, Kobe is killing their cap with that enormous contract (24m/yr) of his and there is absolutely no way around it unless those guys are going to take HUGE paycuts and still wouldn't have enough for quality role players. Lakers are going to be stuck until Kobe's contract is up.

Oh, I totally agree with you. But the new(ish) front office placates Kobe instead of making rational basketball decisions (as proven by that contract you mentioned).
