He’s got a better line. Leno and Cosmi were getting worked all game.

Stats don't tell the whole story.

Look at the Rams/Bears. Rams got two turnovers, Bears won time of possession at a 2-1 click, and had 322 yards of offense. Sound familiar? The difference is the Rams offense can move the ball down the field consistently, and they can score TDs. The WFT offense has not shown that they can do either under Turner.

Maybe that will change with Heinicke, I don't know.

Crazy. We must have an indian burial ground underneath Fedex or something.

If anyone has seen that play where he got injured does Leno give anybody confidence he can stop the same thing from happening to Heinicke? Heinicke can bulk up all he wants - it won't matter if Leno is still as bad as he was yesterday.

Can't we just say both the defense and the offense stunk yesterday?

Cousins stayed healthy too and still does. It's a combo of horrible luck and old ass QBs

AGREE

With that said it was still a winnable game which should spark some hope.

IDK just trying to be positive, it was typical WFT day lose and lose your QB1 for the season to start the season.

It is just hard to enjoy the NFL with such a miserable team.

I would like to see more of Cam Sims. He is the one big wr that we have. Why not throw him some jump balls like they did to us?

Yeah sure, we can say that if you want. But the reality is, one side of the ball did enough to win, and the other did not.

I'm just not ready to say that this is a bad defense after one game. The offense on the other hand, has shown the same thing for the last 21 games, so I'm much more comfortable saying that the offense stinks.

Re: Week 1 - Post-game Thread

It's a long ass season, 16 more to go. Plenty of time to right the ship. But yesterday they simply weren't good enough on either side of the ball.

This.... That " we only gave up 13 points" is just loser talk.

Those guys on defense were so weak. I watched that Saints game and that was a real defense that I saw. They dominated a top offense.

No disrespect to Alex Smith or Fitzpatrick - but we keep putting our faith in these senior citizen qb's expecting them to continue their career path of staying relatively healthy. When there's a very valid reason teams don't build around older players in general - you get older and it's harder to stay healthy.

Fitzpatrick was meant to be a gap solution and now he's not even that.

Re: Week 1 - Post-game Thread

We're only going as far as the defense can take us this year. And they continue to show that against a top tier offense, they are easily overwhelmed. And the QB gauntlet on the schedule is only going to get tougher, Herbert was just the beginning.

Also there is no way you can tell me #25 is better than Moreland. I know he's a rookie but wow he stinks.
