Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Watching tape on AS, the game against the jets he was absolutely brilliant. The long run he had (70 yards almost) shows he can still do it all. Man I can't wait until Sept.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
It doesn't seem like AS is a short term answer, Doug mentioned him playing 5 years here

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Yeah, the 'skins are really rolling out the red carpet for Alex Smith. Doug talking about wanting Alex here for 5 years. As good of shape that Alex is in, he probably can play to 40 easily. If he's having success in Washington, I'll be all for that. Heck, let him play until he's 45, lol!

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
I say at least 3-4 years, 5 is certainly possible. So yeah he’s not being looked at as a short term answer.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Just listened to his press conference. The guy is the ultimate professional.
Reading about him, he is a guys guy. I have a feeling he will be a great locker room guy. He answered every question perfectly without coming of like a political douche bag. I was/ am a kirk fan but Alex and kirk are night and day. I am loving this trade and ext.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Kirk was a little more PC I thought, Alex seems a little more forthcoming. Could also be the difference of being with a team that truly wants you.

ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
I’m still left wondering what if. What if Snyder had picked Shannahan staying instead of RG3, and the Shannahans, along with Sean McVay would have built a system around Cousins. Wonder where we’d be today.
We learned, as time passed on, Shannahan wasn’t the problem, RG3 was. Cousins being who he is today proved Shannahan was right all along. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The "Ewwwwwiiiieeeeee!" Post game reaction was cringe worthy. Maybe not being a douche but it sounded contrived. The "you like that" was definitely spontaneous. A great example was Smith being honest about getting together with the receivers in the off-season. He said it looked good on Instagram but didn't really matter all that much for the team. I cannot imagine Kirk saying something like that.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Alex Smith looks the part, and he said it best himself, it's not what he says, they have to go do it. Right.
I do like that he seems genuine. He and Gruden have both said things about being excited to work on the offense together, sounds like Jay is gonna take advantage of a smart veteran QB and have him involved. He wants to win a championship, he thinks jays offense looked fun, everybody wants everybody to be here. Let's see what they can do. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
ALex wants to win a SB, he is hungry for it. I like that in my QB.
He has said a few times "The ultimate goal is win a SB" "I know that is what my legacy will be based on" He knows hes 33, time is ticking
