It was a terrible match. But the bottom line is he's just not a good wr anymore. #24 pretty much owned him in practice, then he gets in the game and drops an easy pass. If he was still in his hey day they would've kept him. But now? Hell no.

Interesting ESPN is sourcing Ed Werder and not Dan Patrick who broke the story...guess the hate is mutual.

So in just two weeks we have

Eagles: Dealing with Andy Reids son's death, Nnamdi concused, Vick hurting his throwing hand.

Cowboys: Witten who's never injured with internal bleeding, Dez Beating his mom, Morris Claiborne hurt, and a carousel of injuries on the OL especially at Center.

Giants: Their top CB hurts the same knee again. Tuck had been contemplating retirement last year, and two of their backup DTs have major injuries with Marvin Austin having a back problems and Shaun Rogers having blood clots.

We haven't even started the season yet and already the 'favorites' in the division are slooowwwllyy falling...

He got cleaned up the other night on that one catch in the first qtr. I bet that was it.

That was it. Costa the starting Center was out, so Homo got rushed by Kelly who Arkama? the fill in for Costa completely whiffed on him. Tonie then toss the ball like a lil bitch to Witten who got crushed for a 2 yard loss.

A great example of how the Oline injuries indirectly affects the team. Witten got destroyed my McClain.

i have confirmed reports of speculation in my brain that with Witten down, the Cowboys would be interested in Cooley for a 3rd round pick...

No! Everything is for sale for the right price. We can afford to lose our starting fullback that makes $5m a year. The only thing he's done for me lately is make an awesome vase in 'The Gallery'.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style

My little hallmark card to Jason Witten.

Get well Mr. Witten. Take your time, don't rush it, don't overdo yourself when rehabbing, treat yourself to some ice cream birthday cakes from DQ, some chips and dip, and dont forget to eat alot of bacon (It promotes the healing process, and Ive heard the grease is a wonderful salve for your skin!!!). On a much more serious note, don't forget to call up Michael Irvin, Harvey Martin, Hollywood Henderson and Nate Newton for some instructive insight on how they used to aggressively pass the time!! I'm sure that with their assistance, you can sniff out some really interesting ways to stay occupied. (Just please do not contact Lance Rentzel........even we here at the cowboys have a line we don't cross.....) Nothing is more important than making sure that your are on the right track for your rehab, and these guys can give you their little tips and tricks on staying a super motivated Dallas Cowboy.

Best of Wishes, and get well soon.

Sirius XM NFL radio just reported Witten's spleen did not rupture and will not need surgery.
