Re: Drunk Thread

lol I'm halfway to 29 and I don't feel like I can drink the same way I did anymore. The last 2 times I drank I ended up projectile vomiting the next day and it just doesn't feel worth it anymore. The hangovers feel worse than they did when I was younger. My best drinking days were 18-25. Last time I went out I was the DD, and for my efforts, my boss pissed in my car. lol but I still had a good time.

So I feel like the DD of this thread. Happy drinking!

Re: Drunk Thread

I'm not drunk right now, but I could get drunk right now. You know that point in your drinking where u r sitting on your couch an ur like "ehhh I could get drunk". You run through ur mental checklist: 1. Kid down - check 2. No mandatory morning meetings at work - check 3. Ur lady already mad at u and accusing u of drinking too much - check 4. Great awesome beer in the fridge - check to an amazing degree.

I know I'm not gonna get drunk tonight. I already made the decision to have a productive am at work. But it's jut fun to play the what if game. I would drink some really good beer. I would get stupid drunk. Like stumble around in the kitchen w the oven on high for 2 hours fun. Twist something. Probably loosely so i end up eating an unacceptable portion.

It'd be awesome ... But it is not happening. I'm just goin to drunk a few more beers, partake to a properly portionable degree and enjoy that redskins.

Life is soooo good. Honest good people of third countries woul vomit if they saw the image of me - overweight white guy sitting on couch of comfortable home w wife an kid drinking some insanely expensive beer w excessive food everywhere probably goin to be thrown away

Re: Drunk Thread

I had a little too much funday for Sunday Funday, so it made for an interesting evening, making dinner and bathing the little ones. But those beers weren't going to drink themselves. Wife made buffalo chicken dip and pigs in a blanket, buddy brought wings from famous dave's. Split a growler of Burley Oak's Triple IPA, Tried Deschutes Pinedrops, Mispillion River's IIPA, Wicked Weed's La Bonté, Adroit Theory God Is An American (IIPA), Avery's Maharaja, and 4 Hands War Hammer. And since the Skins won, I may have to do it again next weekend.

You should definitely take one for the team and do it again next week

Re: Drunk Thread

That's the plan, but instead of being home, I'll be brewery hopping. Saturday we're hitting up several Delaware breweries, including touring Dogfish Head. Sunday will be OC to Cambridge, with Burley Oak and Evolution being the 2 bigger ones we'll see.

I'll have to pull the game up on NFL Mobile if we're in between breweries...

damn dude...you deserve an award. You are serious about beer.

Well in developing news: Virginia governor confirms he wants to land Deschutes Brewery;

Va trying to Deshutes here in the commonwealth...this is on the heels of us landing Stone Brewery here in Richmond which is a mega complex/brewery being built.

When Stone opens here, beer folks, yall need to come down...this brewery, tasting room is gonna be huge.

I always feel like the underachiever compared to some of my friends, including a few coming with me on the trip. I love beer, and love trying new things, so instead of focusing on the same beer, I'm always trying to find the new stuff.

The great thing about this trip is aside from Dogfish and Evo, most of the breweries we are hitting don't have massive distribution. So it's fun to go try their wares and bring home stuff to enjoy that we can't get at home. Plus in all honestly, the DE breweries are within 30 miles of each other. The MD breweries nicely align themselves in a neat row. I'm hoping that this weekend goes well, and we do this every couple of months, hit up some other great breweries in within a day's drive from home.
