Re: Why Hasn't Anyone Talked About-A Possible Cancellation?
When deaths fall in late August it will not be because the virus has gone away, it will be because social distancing, by means of keeping everyone in doors, has worked. But if you let everyone go back outside, even wearing face masks, the virus is still out there ready to infect. That is why "reopening" would require an extremely thorough testing system to make sure that exposure to the virus is very, very limited. I do no see how the NFL with all the sweat, blood and other bodily fluids that are exchanged on almost every play can go forward without endangering the players unless every player is tested the morning of every game and only those who test clean can play.

Play the games and let a certain amount of people in the stands, have them spread out, aka social distancing. Make sure there is plenty of hand washing areas besides inside the bathrooms.
As someone who has a home in Ca and lives there part time, I pay zero attention to what the Ca politicians have to say. |

Seems to me that vaccination was mandated back in the 50's to deal with polio. I remember standing in real, real long lines to get my polio vaccination.

Not only that but baseball is discussing playing their games in Arizona. Hockey is talking about finishing the games in less populated states like North Dakoda. We're going to have pro sports and soon. I'm convinced of that.
I think college football is in serious trouble. |

I hope you guys are right! Even watching empty arenas on TV will still be better than nothing at all.

Well if your are foolish enough to refuse a vaccine just because of some infantile dislike of Bill Gates, I hope the requirement to get the vaccination is enforceable with jail time.

Re: Why Hasn't Anyone Talked About-A Possible Cancellation?
Like football, hockey involves lots of close contact and potential exchanges of body fluids and heavy breathing. If I were a hockey player, i would refuse to play unless there was mandatory testing of every player before every game. I don't believe any athlete should be required to risk his health and life in order to entertain us. That went out with the gladiators in Rome.
