As football SHOULD be

In 2000, wide receiver Terrel Owens, then with the 49ers, ran to the midfield star and posed with his arms outstretched after scoring both of his two touchdowns. On the second, Cowboys safety George Teague knocked down Owens, and tempers between both teams became heated.

Bungholery or rivalry?

Personally I'd like to see more team pride from the Skins.

Does anyone remember a game where Skins played in Dallas and one of the Boy's D rode a freshly sacked Jeff George around? Am I getting MKUltra flashbacks again?

Re: As football SHOULD be

That article about the Cowboys having to earn their star is dumb. Plenty of teams do that, including the Skins during the Zorn era I think. Not sure if Shanny does that, but I doubt it will have an impact on the team. All this crap about Tyron Smith having to earn the star is dumb. Even if he doesn't make an impact (highly unlikely) they're not gonna cut him this season anyways. And they're not gonna make him go out into a preseason or regular season game without the star on his helmet.

That game was during a time where I was just learning about football and what the Skins-Cowboys rivalry really was. I was watching Top Ten Things We Miss About Football last night on NFLN, and it wasn't made as a piece about what we miss about football during the lockout, it was made about changes to football made over the years, like a kicker kicking barefoot, or the goalposts at the front of the endzone instead of the back, and #8 on the list was player hostility, aka teams fighting and getting riled up before the game and players not stopping to chat with other teams' players after the game. It would definitely make the game more interesting if it was still like that nowadays, but you know in this day and age it rarely happens.
