I could see Philly playing well below expectations, but the team that really is set up for some failure IMO is the g-men. As noted already Eli & Coughlin have taken some abuse from fans. Now the fans have big expectations, but their passing game looks weak right now. I could see their D being dominant but them only winning 8 games, with a late season collapse.

In all honesty our team is ripe for an implosion, it's a make or break year for JZ, JC, which means we could easily "implode" if things don't go well.
I would argue that last year's mini implosion for Dallas, was a precursor to the big bang. They got rid of every possible excuse, except where I think the blame really belongs. Wade, Jason Garrett, and Romo, are the reacting agents; and a scheme that lacks running the ball, combined with Romo's interceptions/fumbles(though fumbles may be better this yer) are the catalyst to a major implosion in December, even if they finish 9-7.

I think last yr expectations were low until week 6. They sky rocketed. The team imploded. This yr I think expectations are middle to low knowing how last yr turned out. Some are calling for Zorn's head already cause they don't think he can get it done. Many have called for JC's head also.

Yes, there is anxiety in the air for Zorn and Campbell I'm sure to have a good season or possibly get canned ....unless the owner has already told Zorn not to worry. Campbell might be stressed or he might be looking at this yr as a resume. Do good get paid. Do ok get another job somewhere else as second string.

I just don't see everyone expecting a SB out of the Skins. I know us fans might be but I'm talking about all the news pundits. Everyone has picked the Skins to finish last in the division. Which kinda has some of us fans riled up but expect that every yr now.

but Dallas is picked to lead the division every yr and the Giants have taken it the last 2. This yr the Eagles are being picked to lead the division and go to the SB. If you ask me the Giants still look better then the Eagles and the Eagles either look as good or worse then us. I just get the feeling Dallas will be the bottom feeder this yr due to losing T.O. ...Roy Williams is already getting injured and complaining. Wait until he gets hit by some real safeties in this league.

Cracks in the facade; We all have exprerssed our opinions about who, and when. I offer the follwling as the beginnings of what will become a torrent of disatisfaction. Will it cause an implosion of just a withering of purpose?

All will be revealed in the fullness of time;

Right, because it's not a story when your star DE says he doesn't like that the new DC called him out. Yep, just another boring no news day. (well to be fair, it didn't involve a gun )

The Giants seem to absolutely thrive on controversy and adversity. Besides, Osi was back at practice today.

Dallas, not only because i hate them but they have the most to prove this season. With out a dominate number 1 receiver it will be hard.

Re: Which NFC East team is most likely to implode

Funny the NFL network just did a piece on the Giants and they were talking about Eli and his young WR's. Basically putting a lot of faith in a 2nd yr player to step up cause their Rookies are not on page with Eli. I guess they could get it together but they looked bad. Over thrown balls, and wrong routes.

Re: Which NFC East team is most likely to implode

I think the whole east is pretty fragile. Probably the Giants and Cowboys more than the others but all 4 have implosion possibilities present. If are first string o line dosen't stay healthy and JC don't come out smokin we could be in trouble. Hopefully our defense will keep us in it.

I'm not so sure about the whole "dominant #1 WR" theory.

Even though it is preseason and the offenses are pretty "vanilla", Romo has not thrown a pass greater than 20 yards the whole preseason. His longest was for 42 yards, but that was a "dump off, checkdown" pass to Felix Jones who broke loose for 42 yards.

And Romo has had only 1 INT. All that and he still has a 70% completion and a rating of 90.

Guess we will see how all that pans out after next weekend.

Reason why Cowboys will implode this year...

Well not really, I just thought this was pretty funny.
