There is no excuse for this. Everyone involved should be ashamed. People fuck up, so I'm not always gung-ho for a firing. But there is literally not a .0001% reason why that got published.

We all (all sports fans) have more than enough things to argue about, without shitting on sport's legends like Marty.

Raven's might be shopping Zeus, Jr this offseason. The price might be steep though.

Signing Haynesworth.

McNabb is a close second.

Adam Archuleta's contract too.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

Firing Marty was definitely the single biggest mistake Snyder has made. Marty could have set the franchise on a completely different course and perhaps those other mistakes like Haynesworth, McNabb, and Bruce Allen never happen. Of course maybe Gibbs 2.0 never happens too.

Probably have to trade the no. 19 and maybe more .. then sign him to a top 10 LT contract.

I dont know. I want to upgrade LT .. but at that cost?

PFF top 150 free agents list with anticipated contracts and destinations.

Seems to be the most thorough list.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

Ha, the 49ers just hired Leonard Hankerson as a WR Quality Control Coach.

Is he qualified for that? He certainly lacked QC when he was a player.

That would be too steep for me. I would do this years second. We would need to resign him to top 10 LT even though right now he is not playing like one. He has potential and name recognition that will drive the cost

His family is all here ,it's a safe bet he would give a hometown discount to stay.

It looks clean so it must have been game worn.

Draft a LT at #19.
Goodness, all this trade absurdity.
You overpay when you trade.
Draft a LT at #19.
A QB you like with 2nd round pick.
A CB with 3rd.
A FS with 3rd.
Sign a stud WR in FA and resign Scherff, and Darby only if price is right.

That's like a time travel paradox. Snyder fired Marty precisely because he told Snyder he knew nothing about football and that his harebrained ideas would fail. Snyder wanted to ego trip of making the decisions, and that is why Marty had to go. Marty would not have stood for Allen ever. Marty was going to get you to playoffs year after year, but not the SB. In the end, we'll never win a SB as long as Snyder owns the team. EVER.
