Obviously I'm a huge fan of SP, he has some health issues but if he can stay healthy he will be a good RB

He's got better speed than u would think, he broke away quite a bit in college.. Is he Zeke? No but he could be our starter for a few years no doubt.

Looks like a solid pick...tough runner, hits the hole hard & can catch a little.

I would love to see us be able to start grinding out more first downs on 3rd & short.

Also, really thinking the red zone calls may change now.

This guy looks like our starter to me....looks like an Alfred Morris type, but better. Love that he rarely goes down on the first hit.
This draft pick is probably the biggest upgrade except for Jonathan Allen on DL.
I would not have him as a backup.
Guys like this need to carry the ball...and often....imagine having a lead, then give it to Perine for 20 of the next 30 plays and simply win every game we have a 2 score lead going into the 4th.

This guy looks legit.

He has talent , I think he ran for 400 yds in one game his freshman year http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2017/4/2...nfl-draft-2017 . Vicious running style !!!

Yeah, I *love* this pick, and impressed with the draft in general. We'll see three years from now, but right now the offseason is really encouraging.

Perine seems like a nice and cool guy, in addition to a fierce and strong RB who apparently can pass-protect. He can bench press more most LBs - he tied solomon thomas in bench press. I see him being our starting RB for a years, punishing opposing defenses.

I believe we've found ourselves a legitimate red zone weapon and our starting RB for the next few years gentlemen. It may take a few games to get acclimated to our offense and the NFL in general, but this guy was a steal and I'm glad to have him. HTTR!!!

He actually holds the FBS all-time record for most yards rushing in a single game.

He also is the University of Oklahoma's all time leading rusher, ahead of Billy Sims and Adrian Peterson.

Yes, that Adrian Peterson.

It's a perfect red zone solution, we have been so poor at punching it in on goal lines, finally now we can do it.
I saw him play a few times this year and agree he just may be that back we need to get that hard one yard. HTTR!!

Yes, he looks like he has what it takes to succeed in short yardage. I like him a lot in that role.

We need to show a little patience with him as he develops. He was a 4th rounder for a reason. There are some areas where he needs to improve but he has the potential to be a very good RB.

In my opinion, I think Perine is more than just a short yardage back. Check out his college stats compared to other great running backs that came out of OU (Adrian Peterson and DeMarco Murray) in the link below. I think he dropped to the 4th round because he's not viewed as a hybrid back (like McCaffrey, Cook and Kamara) that can also line up as a receiver. I'm excited about Perine and I wouldn't be surprised if he's our starting running back by week 5.

I watched the game highlights from Samaje's record setting day (427 yards). It came against Kansas.

And what's kind of weird, is that the guy that made the final tackle on Samaje that day was none other than....Fish Smithson, one of our UDFA's.

p.s. -I have issues with a safety named "Fish"...don't fish get "Grilled"?
