It's unfortunately not his new low (well unfortunate for Giants fans)

Re: Giants Postgame

No matter how ugly that win was it was a road win within the division.

Re: Giants Postgame

It was an old school game...run the football with success and stop the run....a drawback to the 1960s and 1970s..

We are 5-1 in conference, with 2 in division wins, and 2 teams that look like the head to head could be important (Carolina and Green Bay).

We have 2 conference games, 3 non conf games and 4 division games left.

We have a lot of the advantages leaning our way even if we lose a game or two. The Philly series will be critical though. It would be nice to keep a lead on them.

The Eagles are 2-3 in conference, 1-0 in the division.
Dallas is also 2-3 in conference, 1-1 in the division.

Gruden needs to keep them playing tough focused football each week (not like me with this post lol)

Points 9 and 10 are what I’m talking about. if and when someone stops the running game, the passing needs to come through. I still hope Smith plays like Chiefs QB and not the 49ers QB which is what he’s currently playing like.

Unless our running game breaks down on its own due to injuries, then for teams to stop our running game that should mean they need to focus more on putting men in the box. if men go in the box and don't automatically rush the passer that should mean that our wide receiving crew should be able to get open. and Gruden as shown that he's effective at scheming that.

I also think we are seeing Smith showing more comfortable passes with Reed, Doctson, and P Richardson.

Agreed, but what about games like Indy and NO? Peterson was held to 20 and 6 yards and then there was no offense.

I'm just gonna enjoy this ride while it lasts, because I don't think our current pace is sustainable. Hopefully Smith and the receivers will be in sync because Atlanta will be one of our toughest remaining tests.

That was a great breakdown by Keim there, hard to disagree with any of his points.

Re: Giants Postgame

Eli looks like a little kid that thinks there's a monster under his bed, even when the pocket is fine.

This defense constantly just blows o lineman up. Mason stoned # 63. Ioannidis commmits assault and battery on a regular basis.

Its fun watching defense hit people.

I'd much rather have great defense than great offense. I also think its way easier for an offense to improve over the season. We need to find a way to get an extra TD per game.

I agree, I'd rather have a top 5 D than a top 5 O any day. It's fun scoring 28PPG but it sucks giving up 29. Yeah it would be nice but Defense wins games.

Mason Foster could be the most underrated LB in football

Alex Smith's first season with the Chiefs in 2013:
60.6% completion, 3,313 passing yards, 23 TDs, 7 INTs, 89.1 passer rating. He went 11-4 (missed a game).

Alex Smith's first season with the Redskins in 2018, projected:
63.2% completion, 3,568 passing yards, 18 TDs, 5 INTs, 91.3 passer rating

I'm just illustrating reasonable expectations when a QB joins a new offense. We need him to get better but reality is it takes time. I just know he went 11-4 in that first season as a Chief, while he was learning the ropes, and God willing it will be the same here.

Can we win a SB with Smith playing like this? No. But we knew that. Allow for the possibility he'll get better as he plays here, and draft for the possibility he won't.

Agree, but what I’ve noticed and believe me I’ve seen lots of Alex Smith in SF where I live. Maybe that’s why I’m more critical of him, currently he’s playing like the 49ers AS. I want him to succeed and I know he can do better, I want the Chiefs AS.
