There are guys that we already know should show up (Scary, Allen, Payne, Cosmi etc.) and players I/we'd like to see step up like Forbes, Martin, St-Juste, Davis, Hudson, Dotson, Brown. We should get a clearer picture who the staff see as sticking once FA rolls around, but hopefully we get a bit aggressive on edge, LB and OL in FA.

Agree with this except St-Juste better not be on the roster this year. He was by far the worst player on the team and it wasn’t effort it was straight garbage. CB is an absolute must either in the first 4 rounds or through FA.

Facts.

There's going to be a new vibe, new energy going into the 2024 season. The staff that is being assembled will see to that, and we have the leaders on the team to make that resonate in the locker room. It's pretty exciting for a change. I don't even care what they end up doing at #2, because I just know we have better decision makers at the helm. So whatever they do, from my perspective (as jamf suggested) it's the right decision.

Interesting you are singling out our only Canadian. This rampant xenophobia has to stop.

I think Davis and St-Juste may have potential to turn it around with the right staff. St-Juste played well year 1, and Davis was arguably stunted by being out of position in year 1 and having 0 support around him in year 2 (and arguably year 1). But, yeah, if the staff can't see the possibility of a turnaround for them then trade/cut them.

DQ and Whitt made a mid-round Cowpuke DB into an pick 6 machine. We have talent in this team, but we haven't had the appropriate coaching to get the best out of them.

After coming a 4-13 season where the defense was horrible, no player should be "safe but we also need to realize that Del Rio was a horrible coach.

I am not the biggest fan of Davis or St Juste so I won't shed a tear. Their juvenility lead to the death of a person and careers have been lost for a lot less. Add to that neither is a commodity you can't replace so ....

Jason Simmons defensive passing game coordinator hired per Ben Standig

Also from Keim: Cowboys blocked Washington from talking with Al Harris and their TE coach

Only Chip Kelly speculation for OC and crickets on DC, far as I can tell. DQ’s got the jump on him for sure, one of the big advantages of going with a well-known, well-connected guy

Be interesting to see who on the current staff they keep in house. I'd like to at least see Kerrigan kept on staff.

I read that the DL coach, Zgno????? or whatever his name is, is a friend of DQ so maybe he stays which may also mean Kerrigan stays. But I wonder weather DL is an area that needs a fresh start coaching wise, along with LB and DB. Did Rons nephew get fired? I would hope the RB coach gets retained, obviously QB has already, other than that this team needs a fresh start after last year

during the HC search the positive buzz of a DQ hire was that he be able to build a good staff quick

we are certainly seeing that
