RIP Rich Tandler

I just saw a news story saying he passed away last night. Sorry to learn of it.

Re: RIP Rich Tandler

Indeed. This deserves its own thread. He was a Redskins Blogger before he moved on to NBC, and given our little place on the Redskins-related internet, we have a lot in common and a lot to thank him for.

Rest in peace Rich, you provided so much for us to enjoy and talk about over the years.

one of the few Redskins sources I rely on...guy was awesome. Always liked how he didn't sugar coat things and wasn't afraid to say the things people wouldn't who cover the team. That's one thing about Keim...sometimes he gives the benefit of doubt to the FO, when they certain don't deserve it.

Not sure I fully agree with that note about Keim, but neither the time nor the place. Just sucks that Tandler is gone. Such a good guy.

Wow! This is a shock! I liked Tandler's approach to covering the 'skins. He didn't sugar coat things. Sometimes it got under my skins and sometimes it felt a bit pessimistic, but overall, I appreciated his incite. He will be sorely missed!

Holy shit. That's awful! Really relied on his coverage in the last few years--a quality sports reporter who told it like it was.

RIP!

Man. That sucks. He did it right. The outpouring of love for that guy is pretty amazing.

I hope we can all leave a mark like he did.

I'm so shocked and sad about this. RT was a hell of a reporter and I loved listening to him on the Redskins Talk Podcast. Rest in peace RT.

He was very interactive with his Twitter followers, which was pretty cool! Keim seems to be the same way, though, but enjoyed his banter with the public.

There's a saying, "No man is without enemies." But from the outpouring of sympathy in the last 6 hours, that may not have applied to Rich.

Horrible to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family. Dude was a good beat writer and an all around good guy.
