Ron is stubborn, he knows the media and fans have wanted SH for a while so he goes against that.. He's Old school and set in his ways. There is no way Howell or TH would have been that bad on Sunday but yet he stuck with 11 the whole fucking game

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread

I didn't see anything on JPs page but I hope that is correct. I don't care if he throws for 400 or 40 yards all I want to see is his game IQ and ability on display.

Side note: Anyone else notice the pictures of Sam Howell on google all look like he has permanent ski lodge face?

You know the people that spend all day in the ski lodge wearing their apres sweaters. Typically have one eye opened wider than the other and puffy cheeks from spending an entire week of drinking instead of on the slopes.

Former Redskin great Rex Grossman was also a notorious rocker of the ski lodge face

That would be the life…lotta blondes, beers, the mountains…the lodges really ties it all together. Big fireplace, blondes, smell of wood burning, flannel.

I would go outside after burning 1 or 3 and just ride ski lift. Can you just stay on the lift continuously?

I'm actually surprised. I think it's the only decision to make, but if Howell looks good against Dallas, that will blow up in Ron's face.

However, if he looks terrible it will validate why we haven't seen him to this point.

A little bit of trivia on Howell, he's part Korean, it comes from his grandmother who is Korean.

I hope he balls out and crushes Dallas' chances of getting the east but at the same time it is less about stats this weekend and more about seeing his skills. I could careless if he goes 28 for 35 and 300 yards if they are all thrown off the back foot and check downs.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread

1. Jordan Love
2. Will Levis
3. Sam Howell

These are the 3 QB's I'd take to start 2023 with.

I don't want Carr , Mayfield , StaFFORD ETC.

I haven't seen anything from Jordan Love that makes me want him to come here.

I'd have him and Howell compete, stay with young guys that can actully grow with the organization. Stop getting old dudes

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread

Assuming Ron survives while ownership is in flux, shouldn't Dan make him trade all 2023 picks for 2024 picks? And prevent him from signing any big contracts? In likelihood this team will have a new name, mascot, GM, coach, and QB in 2024. And a new stadium in 2028.

Tell Ron to make do with Heinicke and Howell. Make him figure the rest out with short term contracts. Keep the staff since they are all gonna be packing in 2024.

Sell the next owners (and fans) on the idea they have a lot of resources available from 2024 on to improve the team immediately.

I'm not sure what to expect, or what to hope for.

I kinda expect him to be overwhelmed, but I do hope they allow him to show what he can do rather than just run the ball 50 times and throw 10 screens. That would defeat the purpose of him playing at all. Just give him a balanced game plan and see how he can execute it against a team that has everything to gain this weekend.
