AROUND THE NFL WEEK 16

WEEK 16 ALREADY

https://www.espn.com/nfl/schedule/_/...3/seasontype/2

Rams / Saints TNF with playoff implications

MNF = RAVENS / SF

Interesting stat : BENGALS Have the 31st defense and a backup QB in tough division and are 8-6... COACHING MATTERS

Ravens and SF game will be interesting game, although I think SF will win it. SF is going to SB for sure.

Never hurts having a good HC that graduated from QB coach.

Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK 16

Meanwhile, in our crappy game, the league will have the 32nd ranked offense against the 32nd ranked defense. Has there ever been a game to end in a 0-0 tie?

I cannot believe how very wrong I was in being excited about the defense at the outset of the season. With Allen, Payne, Young, and Sweat all healthy, even with nothing much at the LB position, with Forrest, Kurl, and Fuller on the back end, I thought we'd be pretty good. I wasn't sold on Forbes but the ball skills were intriguing.

I also figured that the O line couldn't be worse than what we had last year.

Man, to be wrong on so many levels stings.

I hope from this point forward, they have a bunch of guys audition to see whether they have anything to offer -- Jabril Cox, Cole Turner, Andre Jones, and Chris Rodriguez are guys I would like to see get some playing time to see what they can do. And I wouldn't mind them auditioning some kickers either. At this point, why not?

Why not? Ron's pride, I assume. He would rather not be seen as an even more profoundly bad judge of talent on his way out the door. And, if an interim coach had been losing so badly in the meantime, Ron and his few? any? remaining defenders would have a toehold on plausible deniability.

this is probably right but his pride should want to have him show that the guys I listed - all of which he drafted - can actually play.

Man, I can’t wait for him to be gone. I like him as a person but I cannot stand him as a coach or GM. He’s like Cerrato bad.

The simplest way to describe his mental and emotional state regarding his job would probably be to say "He's done". He doesn't have a plan anymore and his explanations of why he does things make no sense because he's not thinking straight. He's befuddled by the whole thing. Like many people who have hit the career wall, he probably doesn't know it yet.

He needs a long rest. The good news is that he has money. So, he should probably retire and have a wonderful time.

I’m right there with you. What’s shocking is the team has been healthy all year.
D Forrest is the only starter that missed significant time.

This may be the worst season ever can recall where the anticipation got run over by reality. In other bad seasons, I pretty much knew it would be bad. But a historically bad D was nothing I had imagined.

Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK 16

Plus with the Stench of Snyder gone you would think the team would have played better .. but I guess Snyder stamp was all over this team and that itself is the root of the problems.. fact is as of now do we have one player that we could trade for a first rounder ?? I'm not sure we do .. our best players are Payne,Allen,Terry,Way .. that's about it !

Mcvay is a great coach man. We need to find a offensive genius like that

I like him better than Kyle S.

He's playing with 13 rookies, they will make the playoffs and pull an upset.
