@AdamSchefter
Blockbuster: Bills are finalizing a trade to send four-time Pro-Bowl WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for draft-pick compensation, sources tell ESPN.

I'm glad he's not going to the Cowpukes. And good for the Texans and CJ Stroud.

I disagree this is true, and definitely with safeties, but that seems to be the case based on how the market is playing out.

It doesn't make sense to me, it's obviously a passing league, but somehow either of us could possibly start at safety for us.
The top Safety yearly salaries is better than the top RB salaries. RB # 7-10 are under $10M.

1. Chargers safety Derwin James: $19 million
2. Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick: $18.2 million
3. Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield, Jr.: $17.1 million
4. Falcons safety Jessie Bates III: $16.01 million
5. Vikings safety Harrison Smith: $16 million
6. Broncos safety Justin Simmons: $15.25 million
7. Cardinals safety Budda Baker: $14.1 million
8. Ravens safety Marcus Williams: $14 million
9. Patriots safety Kyle Dugger: $13.8 million
10. Browns safety Grant Delpit: $12 million
10. Cardinals safety Jalen Thompson: $12 million

RB's
1 Christian McCaffrey San Francisco 49ers $16 million
2 Alvin Kamara New Orleans Saints $15 million
3 Jonathan Taylor Indianapolis Colts $14 million
4 Saquon Barkley Philadelphia Eagles $12.6 million
5 Nick Chubb Cleveland Browns $12.2 million
6 Josh Jacobs Green Bay Packers $12 million
7 Joe Mixon Houston Texans $8.5 million
T-8 Derrick Henry Baltimore Ravens $8 million
T-8 D’Andre Swift Chicago Bears $8 million
10 Tony Pollard Tennessee Titans $7.25 million

rapsheet

Sources: The Lions have a deal for one of the top young talents, agreeing on an extension for WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. He gets 4 years and more than $120M with $77M guaranteed.

With the NFL Draft in Detroit, the Lions have given their city plenty of reasons to be psyched about their football team. Here is another. Amon-Ra St Brown was one of their best picks in recent years.

Now rewarded with a massive deal

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start

Zay Jones released by the Jags. He'd be our #3 (and maybe #2 if Dotson continues his regression) if the Redskins pick him up.

I'd bring Jones in for a look at least. Imagine he'd be good for at least 500 yds if healthy. He's also 6'2", so he's not too small and 29 years old. Aiyuk would be preferable. Not sure if that will go anywhere. No harm in bringing in Jones to gauge interest.

All i find is stuff about his scumbag brother. Two years probation and 20 hours community service for brutally beating and robbing someone. If I did that Id be locked up. Crazy.

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start

So the amount that Amon is going to get taxed is now going viral. For years I thought the tax differences between states would effect free agency, but it never really did. Now I think it will be noticed and it is only a matter of time until the NFLs competitiveness is effected. Harris should take that into account and build his stadium in state/City with the lowest income taxes.

I always wondered about that. Is there a reason the NFL doesn't take that into account when calculating cap hits? Seems like a significant advantage which flies in the face of the idea of the parity it claims to value.
