Quinn was activated, looking forward to him playing

I see us at 11-5 , 10-6 at worst.

First round VS Minnesota

Exactly how I feel...honestly would like to see if they COULD actually win a close game down the stretch. You have to think Houston will plan to throw a lot looking at the tape of our D in our losses...so I'm anxious to see if Manusky sticks with the bend don't break D of last week.

It's hard for me to picture that W-L record but if we beat Texas this week I could start to lean toward 10-6. Right now, I'd say we could win the division at 9-7 but we need to beat Philly at least once to get the job done.

I do think that would be a good plan, especially if Dunbar is out, but Watson won't give us turnovers like Fitz did, and Hopkins is a real redzone threat... This game is gonna be a tough one, and we may have to take more chances, ie bringing more pressure.

Re: Homecoming / Houston Thread

This is the week where Bruce Allen actually has an important role in the organization and maybe what keeps him employed. Anyway gotta pass the ball better, not going to be able to just run the Texans over. Is Docston ever going to have a 8-10 catch game where he has 100+ yards?

Re: Homecoming / Houston Thread

The next 3 weeks are going to be huge for the season. We need to win at least 2 of the 3 and preferably against Dallas and Philly, with Philly definitely needing to be one of those wins.

If we can go 3-0 over that time we'll be sitting very pretty going down the stretch.

It's starts with the Texans this week but I really see the Philly game as the one that could decide the season.

I don't think he's that kind of wr, he's more of a RZ target and a possession guy.

If we win the next 3 games I'm going to say we finish 12-4

I agree with this. We must beat Philly at least once, possibly twice.

The Skins can go 3-4 over their last seven and get to 9-7. Wins against the Giants and Jags seem highly likely to me (not a given, but highly likely). Dallas of Philly would need to go 5-2 to make that happen and force tie breakers. If the Skins beat Philly once this division is ours.

Doctson has improved over the last 2 games...him and Mo Harris have provided a decent targets.

I wonder if the Mighty Quinn will be active and if he can provide a spark. We need to move these safeties off the LOS and pressure them with some deeper throws. But Alex needs to deliver better throws as well. The whole passing game needs to be better to win.

https://www.nbcsports.com/washington...rey-quinn-news

"For Sunday's game against Houston, Josh Doctson will start and play the X receiver position. If Quinn can get up to speed quickly and work in the slot WR role on Sunday, then Harris will lineup opposite Doctson at the Z position. "

Interesting. Quinn would jump into slot...pushing Harris to the outside. A Cooper-like effect would be great from Quinn if he can go.

If we beat Dallas and Philly once, it's hard to imagine that we won't make the playoffs.

Re: Homecoming / Houston Thread

I would love for us to win this game, but I don't think it's going to happen. The Texans offense is good enough to move the ball and score on our defense. Their defense is good enough to shut down our offense with Alex Smith leading it. I just don't think we're luck up this week like last week.
