Jessie Armstead agreed to a one years contract with Carolina to hock up with Stephen Davis and one time coach Mike Trgovac.

i'm kinda liking the panthers more and more after picking up the guys who played hard for us, but got cut not due to money issues.

Well, Armstead got cut because DS had MWashington waiting in the wings, so that could be considered an upgrade (younger player, etc). Stephen Davis got cut because SS felt he was no longer needed, and he was gonna be a huge number against the cap. #98 played well for us, as did #48, but I think their replacements will make us soon forget about them.

yeah i agree, on one of the scale you have 30 something I believe stephen davis and 30+ Jessie Armstead and in the other you have 22 year old stud Clinton Portis and 25 year old star on the rise Marcus Washington. I believe the scale might be leaning a bit towards the younger duo as a little better. sure they didn't come cheap but hey if we hadn't cut davis, u think we really had a chance to sign both Coles and Thomas? I highly doubt it and I don't know about you guys but Coles last year quickly became one of my favorite redskins.

Heh, Portis is worth Davis and Armstead. I really did like Armstead though. He was a very solid player and Im glad he found a home on another good team!
