a.k.a. Role Player. I think Flanigan might be able to do what you want. I'm looking forward to seeing how he looks this season. I think our running game would be more effective if we used a FB more. Flanigan could play that role, as well.

You want Gruden to change his ways? Never gonna happen. He is the most predictable play caller ever.

Ereck Flowers to prove he should have been playing guard since he was drafted.

One of the best battles in camp will be seeing Wes Martin going against Ionnadis, Allen, Payne and Settle. This going to a telling sign if Martin is the one to claim the LG position. Should be awesome to watch the battles.

I’d have to give that honor to Sweat. I don’t foresee him having a double digit sack season (I hope I’m wrong there), but I think the he will raise up the entire defensive front level. We should have a stout D for a couple years. As of now I think we have 7 should be starters under 25.

Haskins or one the WRs has the chance to have the most visible impact though. Time will tell

TE will have to be addressed next year. No one on the street in May is going to come in and make a big difference.

We just have to pray Reed stays healthy and Davis can play better

Would you ever put Reed in line?

I would just put him in the slot and put him as far away as possible from blocking a DE. He isn't a TE, he is a big physical receiver with strong hands and really good route running skills.

And do nothing but work on short passes with Sprinkle and Flanagan.

https://www.sfchronicle.com/raiders/...t-13815003.php

this guy would

id cut VD and sign him

The Raiders released tight end Lee Smith after four seasons, the team announced Thursday.

Smith, 31, was Oakland’s primary blocking tight end in the running game. He appeared in all 32 games over the past two seasons with 13 starts

Smith was a vocal presence in the Raiders’ locker room. In October, with the Raiders at 1-5, Smith gave a speech to media at his locker in defense of quarterback Derek Carr, who was drawing criticism following a blowout loss to the Seahawks in London

graded out as one of the top blocking TE last 5 years. he can catch.

They can't cut Vernon Davis because they can't keep Reed healthy.

Sweat is going to be the biggest new impact player. He's going to balance out the DL and give the Offensive coordinators something to worry about besides Kerrigan. His speed and size are going to shock other teams. I don't think he'll get over 10 sacks because he's a rookie and needs to learn the ropes but he's going to complete a DL that will surprise many offenses.

This will be the first time in many a year where the Redskins will have a real pass rush, without having to blitz. It's going to be a pleasure to watch the Redskins defense lay some pipe against the offenses of the NFC Beast.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him play, should help out our secondary as well.

Sweat is going to help transform the defense. A 6'6 guy who can run a 4.4!

But besides Sweat, the players I want to see play are Haskins and Guice. The1y may make some rookie mistakes, but the upside of these guys is really there. When we see them make some great plays, it will make up for the fact that we're looking at an 8-8 or 7-9 season. I think when Haskins plays we will be surprised with his ability to move around in the pocket. Oh, and he can chuck that rock!
