^^ Actually the USA beat France 4-2. Alex Morgan had two goals although Tobin Heath should get the credit for the second one because of a dynamite cross. Hopefully the US team continues to play the way they did in the second half rather than the way they did in the first half.

Re: The 2012 London Summer Olympics Thread

I'm rooting for the soccer teams to win gold.

Not because I even like soccer or because I think it will expand soccer fandom in the USA, but so we can brag to the rest of the world "Look, we don't even care about this sport beat all of you at YOUR game." That will just kill them inside, especially the British snobs.

I have seen the score posted as us winning, 3 to 1, 4 to 1, and now your saying 4 to 2. Its a win either way but the news on the win is pretty bad.

The Russian judges are obviously up to their usual dirty work, trying to screw us again.

^ The USA men's soccer team did not qualify for the Olympics. The women, however, kick butt.

I watched the game from beginning to end. I'm quite certain that it was 4-2.

I was not doubting you. I'm like most here and I really don't follow soccer at all. The Olympics is the only time I care who wins a soccer match and I'd like to see the ladies kick some ass.

Opening ceremonies are great so far. Bond escorting the Queen was brilliant!

She didn't look happy at all. The only time I saw a slight smile on her face was when those kids were singing the UK's national anthem.
