I welcome the move. Lewis has a tremendous background in the WC offense, and an abundance of overall coaching experience on both sides of the ball. His addition can only be an asset. Good move....

Ok is it me or what. Everytime someones name comes up it seems everyone here knows what the guy has done over the past 20 years. It never fails. Either some people have to much time on their hands or they just make up the stuff they post. LOL

Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant, IF Snyder makes an in-season move on Zorn, the pieces are in place to do so. He could promote Blache to interim HC, Lewis to OC/playcaller and make Meidt the QB coach.

One of the things I hope comes out of this is for Lewis to recognize and tell JC to:
#1-have some fun. He's such a robo-QB that's thinking too much and trying to make everyone happy. Just play dude, you've got the talent and ability just let it flow.
#2-Forget what Gibbs told you about being so safe. It's obvious he's hearing too many voices and the first one he heard in the NFL was of a scared old coach. Not to run down Gibbs but you can tell JC is still playing to his conservative coaching. Moss said as much the other day, 'Checkdowns won't win us games. He's got to take some chances.' Gibbs was the quintessential 'don't take chances' coach and Brunell reinforced that to the max.
#3-Yards are yards. If you have to run to pick up the first down, make the decision to get the hell outta there and get the hell outta there!

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

I was thinking something like:

Zorn = Gets fired by seasons end or maybe as soon as the bye week.

Lewis = Done at the end of season, when new HC and staff come in, the team will no longer have a need for "A fresh set of eyes....."

Holmgren = Will be in the mix for the Redskins new Head Coaching gig.

How about this Lewis as the HC at the end of the season if he improves the offense and have him bring in some new position coaches - especially someone to replace Hixon.

Make Holmgren the GM (will never happen)

Put Zorn in aS OC under Lewis game plan or keep him as QB coach. (slight possibility -- but I doubt it)

Sherman Lewis will recognize the wisdom of putting Hunter Smith in the Wildcat.

LMAO. But on a serious note. We should use Devin like the Vikings use Harvin. Just a thought..

He also coached under Mariucci...

Hopefully get can get through to Devin Thomas since Lewis is a Michigan St guy and coached Rice, Taylor and Sharpe.

Re: Redskins hire offensive consultant

Based on what I have read about Lewis, seems like a good move.. Once again, credits to Vinny

I hope this move will certainly jump start our offense..
