So true!

We are not good enough to have any trap games. We are the underdogs in every flipping game.

Anyone who thinks this is a trap game should stick to watching basketball or whatever the hell it is that they watch. Anyone who watches pro football knows that a division game against a team that has owned us is going to be a dog fight no matter how the first two weeks looked for either team. I like our chances but this is no trap game..

After week 2, the Redskins are the NFC EAST favorite.....

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

Look, who cares if we call it a trap game or not?

This team finally got a desperately needed win, and the rest of the NFC East games this weekend make us look like we have a much better chance this year then we thought at the outset. This team has momentum, and we need to keep it, this game could define the rest of the year, and if the Skins don't go in to the Meadowlands and play like the season depends on it, it could set the tone for a bad year.

I think we are all saying the same thing, we can't let up, and we need to maintain momentum. A win would be awesome, and I think the conversation about the division becomes more valid, but I just want to see them go in and play as hard as they did yesterday.

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

I am kind of glad it's a short week. I really want to see how the team handles success. This is a big early game. A win continues momentum, gives us a long break to savor two wins, and is a nationally televised game. To me, it would be a real demonstration of "culture change" if we didn't suck on national TV. If we actually win and look good doing so? phew ... not sure the team could handle the success.

It is also a chance to really set the tone before taking on the Eagles and can give us the chance to go 2-0 in the division.

One game at a time though, still need to see back to back wins before thinking about the rare possibility of back to back to back games.

Yeah, I hate that POS. Let's show him what our new draft picks and FA can do.

This, for sure. So this weekend we broke the, "Let's play passive as hell with a 10 point lead." Now it's time to actually perform in prime-time.

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

I also forgot about this: it was almost a certainty we'd give up big third downs and NOT convert ones we needed. Been damn good on third down on both sides of the ball.

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

I hate being the road team on a short week. Plus the Giants are going to feel backed into a corner and will not want to go 0-3 in the division. And as been said, this game has trap game written all over it.

Thursday games also tend to be god awful blow outs. I just got a bad feeling about this one.

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

I dont know about trap game, but the Giants have beaten us 5 of last 6 games. This will not be an easy game and Eli generally shreds against us. We need to keep doing what we've been doing...control the LOS, run the ball, convert 3rd downs, ball the f*ck out, and play tough D. Control what we can

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

The Redskins are getting so little love after beating the Rams. The power rankings (not that I care about that) nudged us up from 29 to 27, with the Rams still well above us, along with the Giants, Browns, Raiders, and some other pretty crappy teams.

And you know what? Good. Until we start thumping people regularly, the rankings won't change. And I hope teams continue to underestimate the Redskins. To be clear, I don't see us necessarily finishing the season with a winning record -- we're still a ways from being a consistently competitive team (as evidenced by the loss to the Dolphins last week -- a good team would have been able to hang on to a 10 point lead at home). But yesterday's win is something to build on, and I love the "us-against-the-world" mentality that is emerging (see comments from the D line and O line).

I would love to see us kick the crap out of the Giants. But I bet even if that happens (big if), the pundits will be talking about how weak the NFC East has become more than anything about the Redskins turning the corner.
