Re: Around the Nfl week 5
He had a great year one. No doubt. My one handed catch was a bit on the silly side. However Cromartie was just saying lets see it on a consistent basis. Hell Eddie Royal is up there on one of those lists you posted. It is now year two and ODB is trending down. So lets see what happens these next 12 games.

"Take away the one handed catch and we probably arent even having this conversation"
Come on man, a statement like that is just absurd. He's put up insane numbers over his first 16 games... definitely elite numbers. To say he's just a top 20 guy is mind numbing. He's off to a slow start (for him) and he's still on pace for a big year. Just stop. |

Around the Nfl week 5
He was a top 10 guy as a rookie. Very impressive. He is going to have a great career barring injury. I think when it is all said and done he will be a top 20 type of guy. Thats nothing to shake a stick at
Edit: just to be clear again - all Cromartie was saying (i think) and all im agreeing with is im not ready to say he is one of the elite wr's in the game. Could he be? Of course. But lets see more than one year. I thought RG-3 was going to have, at the very least, a good career. Lol |

Re: Around the Nfl week 5
Why is that, why do you think he isn't producing as much as his rookie year?I'm pretty sure he isn't a secret anymore and when these corners line up now the opposing teams "best man" is on him if not more than one, that does tend to hinder your stats from time to time.Eli isn't going to throw to just one man if he can help it .

Not to answer for okie but im in his camp on this one. He is pretty much 18th ranked wr. Latest game. 5 catches 30 something yards ? I think? No matter what the reason, he isnt producing as much. we are 1/4 the way thru year 2 and he is trending down? |

Being thin at the CB position we could use this guy.

Re: Around the Nfl week 5
I agree with Matty and Giantone. OBJ he is on pace for what is a great year by most standards and to say he is trending down based on a quarter of a season is extreme. If we are going to use first quarter stats to judge whether a player is trending up or down then Steve Smith is an elite WR again and James Jones is a pro bowler.

Guess those would be fair assessments at this point. How else are you supposed to judge trending up or down? Isnt that what trending up or down means? Recent production? Anyway only time will tell. I hope he continues to trend down for our sake. Lol |
