Reed had a solid game last week...no big plays, but solid.

CT and Reed on the field at the same time is probably our most dangerous sets...why? They make the defense chose between the 2 in coverage...and 99% of time its not a CB. We saw one game where the defense (Green Bay I believe) chose to put CB on Reed...that opened up receivers and Alex recognized it.

Flooding the Dallas zones with Reed and CT would be a good strategy...Trips...pressuring Safeties with 3 deep routes....Jay needs to coach this week.

I agree but it's our only strategy.
The game plan against us is to play zone and force us to have 10-15 play drives.

This team is #2 in the league for time of possession and AVG number of plays per drive but they are dead last in total number of drives.

We need to find a way to hit some home runs and hold teams to 3 and outs.

Cooley sat with AP in his 3rd podcast episode, and they said Jay has been hard on the team after the Saints loss, Peterson said he liked that Jay was "100% on them", about the mistakes they made.

What is the name of his new podcast I can't find it anywhere, only Kevin Sheehans.

Tape has said big play opportunities have been available but Alex not seeing or throwing. I thought Alex was the best deep ball passer last year? Wtf is going on?

I agree.. Also, I think the injuries are not helping Alex. Doctson missed some time in training camp, Reed didn't participate at all until beginning of the season, Richardson has been missing some practice time since he got injured. It's tough for QB to build rapport with receivers if they don't get to practice together enough..

I'm not saying that Alex is completely innocent of this - he is a veteran pro and he should have done better in recent games but I'm not going to hold this against him (at least, not for now).

I still put it a lot on Gruden and preseason. Look it's fine if you don't want to play the starters, I get it, but then your team better not look like they aren't on the same page after 5 regular season games. And with a new qb, and so many missed practices, throwing a few live balls every game would have made sense. I like Gruden for a lot of reasons, but I don't think we will ever be a consistent deep playoff team with him.

Re: Dallas week Version 1

This is the most important 3-game stretch in Gruden's career.

We won game one against Carolina, but these next two are just as important.

No point beating Carolina only to lay an egg against Dallas or NYG.

Gruden's head coaching career is hanging by a thread. If he gets canned by Washington he won't get another chance.

You can always go be the OC for your brother in Oakland, but if you want your head coaching career to continue...

NO MORE EGGS!!

Re: Dallas week Version 1

hmmmm… maybe a lot more pass attempts in pre season would have helped.

And throw in the one about sticking with what is working, oh and brilliant play-calls while your at it.....and if we are really good can we please hear the one about our Red Zone offense firing on all cylinders...

I think it might be that he took just about 17 snaps in the preseason with the first team offense? While learning a new offense. To me this is another coaching incompetency by Jay.
