Still no O-line visits scheduled as of yet? That kinda sucks.

Well remember MS is good at getting late round OL and whoever they are looking at will have to be good for zone blocking... ie; somewhat smaller, faster, and has decent technique.

Having said that I thought I heard a rumor the team was looking at Baylor's Center? or a center somewhere. I'm guessing Baylor's cause RG3 already has a report with him.

Still would be nice though to see them take a couple of mid round guys rather then waiting for the 7th round. During Shanahan's time in Washington all of our post first round offensive lineman have been 7th rounders. Erik Cook, Selvish Capers, and Maurice Hurt.

Unless it's a great value pick like Hankerson in the third round I'd much rather see a few lineman taken in that 3rd to 5th round range. I mean we get all this competition at WR but in regards to the O-Line it's like we're lucky if they bring anyone in for a look.

Re: Redskins Pre-Draft Visits and Workouts

yea but we need help at safety too just as much as safety imo. i dont have much trust in any of the safetys on our roster or even the new additions. i hope we go with either a olineman or safety with our 3rd and then use our 2 picks on the other position in the 4th.

Re: Redskins Pre-Draft Visits and Workouts

So I heard this weekend that they were interested in OT Donald Stephenson but had no visits planned, but now Chris Russell is saying he's coming in this weekend

Also hearing Polk and/or LaMichael James could be visiting as well

wow, RB would be a surprise with the 3rd round pick. Both these guys slated to go somewhere around there.

WAY down with the Polk visit. Guy seemed like a leader and really was pretty damn good.

Best player available? I'd be on board with that. Besides, the team has to do due diligence.

I agree with you but also remember that the player has to fit the system. If the zone blocking type of OL are not scheduled to go early then expect them to pick them up late. No way they take a good zone blocking OL they need who should be a 7th rounder in the 3rd.
