Sean Taylor

Two steps forward, one step back.

He played real well (the Int and the facemask on McNabb were awesome), but he also had that personal foul. I think that he was actually joking around with TO (mainly because TO didn't try to retaliate or plead his case to the refs afterward) and that it wasn't a malicious hack at TO during the play.

I wonder if Taylor is developing a rep for being a badboy on the field, especially after the spitting hoo-haa with Cinci.

He reminds me alot like Lawrence Taylor being a hard hitter and basically a player that was feared by alot of offenses. The funny thing is LT was a linebacker and Sean is a Safety...hahaha

I think that's going to be par for the course for Taylor this year. He'll mix some brilliant plays in with some boneheaded ones. It seems the brilliant plays are starting to outnumber the not so great ones though.

Yeah, I'm not worried about Taylor. He's 21 years old and immature, but he's a gamer. I'm glad he is on our team.

Taylor is a beast, He is making rookie mistakes but thats to be expected. Hes going to make a huge impact in this league though. I cant wait till he matures some and teams fear him and have to game plan around him.

It's hard to believe he's "only" 231. I swear when he stands next to LaVar he looks bigger, and LaVar goes about 250.

I like that Taylor is getting a little mean streak to him. I dont agree with the ALLEDGED spitting incedent, but I like that hes a " bad boy " and people defintley have to start fearing him a little on the feild.

Here's when Sean Taylor will live up to his hyupe:

When people start talking about how his spectacular plays turned a defeat into a victory. Right now, everything he does amounts to a highlight reel and yet another loss.

BTW, if someone goes and finds a play of his "big hit", go look at the Eagles' first drive. When McNabb scrambled for 19 yards to keep the drive alove - which resulted in a score by the way - you will see McNabb fake a Redskon out of his jockstrap and pick up another 8 or 9 yards. Look carefully at the tape; the Redskin's number is 36...

Taylor isn't the first nor the last player that McNabb will juke outta their shoes.

Happens to the best of them.

Matty:

To be sure, McNabb has earned his reputation as an elite player in the NFL. But I did want some of the folks here who were going into a "Sean Taylor rhsposdy" to recognize that he made some blockheaded playes today too.

LIke I said, when his big hits and spectacular plays turn a game around or when he becomes a force in the league that forces offenses to alter their normal game plans, then it might be approporate for him to be mentioned in the same paragaph with Lawrence Taylor. Until then...
