Agreed.

Dwayne was a good guy. His issues- if that is the term- were not too different from what most young men experience. I made lots of mistakes when I was that age, but I was not in the limelight.

RIP Dwayne. HTTR.

I think we forget they are in their early twenties all these "men", i have interns in my office that sometimes it feels more like baby sitting then managing them.

Exactly. Things were probably a bit different back in the day when a pro salary was usually NOT a key to becoming wealthy and the media was primitive compared to now.

In a way, Dwayne was bit like Tim Robbins' character in Bull Durham. Decent talent, but with the quest for "fun" that young men almost always have in abundance. And maybe Mike Tomlin was his "Crash" and would have steered him towards a respectable career.

Its because he missed the following play and they had to send out a back up QB but it was a good pic and funny moment.

It's not easy to be out cold that far into the next day. Hard to believe he was sober himself then. Doesn't mean he wasn't sober. But the odds are he wasn't.

And he is married and the passenger wasn't his wife? Maybe he was just helping her out. So still lots to wait to hear about. But looks like it's heading towards multiple bad decisions that led to this.

Regardless of whatever it is, it's still a shitty end to a young man's life. Also, based on what we know so far, the driver that hit him needs some sympathy. I couldn't imagine hitting and killing someone (if it was sheer wrong place/wrong time).

Yep, he could quite easily have picked up someone in a bad way and his car broke down in teh wrong place. So many explanations, but we always seemed drawn to the worst.

Do we even know it wasn't his wife? I couldn't tell you if she was down in Florida with him.

Re: RIP Dwayne Haskins

I have heard from some media friends that he was at a strip club, and drunk, so that woman is likely a stripper he picked up. Being at a strip club doesn't surprise me since that was the straw that broke the camel's back here in DC. Whatever ends up to be the true story, he unfortunately paid the ultimate price for his mistake.
