I say 6-10. We're going to struggle, especially on offense.

The over/under at most shops is 6.5.

For all you 8-8 guys, this year would be a great opportunity to pay off your car or mortgage.

Only bet as much as you can afford to win!!

Prediction: 6-10

Re: Redskins predictions 2019 edition

If Haskins is going to start the majority of the games then I'd say 5-6 wins. And I'm fine with that as long as he's making progress. If we're going to win 6 to 8 games with Colt or Case then I'm not ok with that at all. To the point that I may tune it out.

The way the Redskins have handled the QB over the last several years makes me not care as much. It's flat out piss poor management. Cousins was such a massive fuck up; to let a QB in the prime of his career walk is un heard of. They have got to get it right with Haskins this time around.

Re: Redskins predictions 2019 edition

Before the draft, I had no excitement for this year.

But now, whatever QB is starting, is either winning games (hopefully Haskins), or we're losing and Haskins is getting starting experience, or we have bad start with Colt/Keenum and Haskins gets starts around mid season.

Basically this season is exciting because we got Haskins. And because we ripped the whole NFL off and got a top 10 player at the back end of 1st round.

Our 3 game window imo is 7-9 to 9-7.

Re: Redskins predictions 2019 edition

I have a hard time understanding how we go worse than 7-9 honestly, unless decimated by injury again. There's a lot of talent coming back on the field on week 1.

I get the concerns at WR though. The ceiling will be 8-8 if we can't get a couple of the WRs to do some damage.

But I don't see lower than 7-9 because the defense sets up quite well and we still figure to run the ball well.

Agreed.

I feel like we tend to remember the embarrassing losses more than the promising wins.
Yes we were publicly disgraced by the Giants (saw that first hand), and our D collapsed late against the Saints, the Falcons etc... but that same D also held the Bucs to 3 points, dominated Aaron Rodgers, suffocated Barquley in the first Giants game, limited Zeke to 33 yards in the 1st Cowboys game etc...

This team has talent.

Re: Redskins predictions 2019 edition

Looking at the schedule you could make a case for 10-11 wins. But it is the Skins.....7-9.

Re: Redskins predictions 2019 edition

If everything stayed exactly the same except Gregg Williams was DC how would your predictions change?

Mine would edge up a game and a half to two games.

Re: Redskins predictions 2019 edition

Haskins makes me excited for this season. Not because he's going to win a lot of games but because he could be the future franchise QB we've waited so long for.

I'll be disappointed if they start Colt or Case because those guys have such a low ceiling. I think we're in the 6-8 number of wins depending on injuries.

I want to see Haskins start from game one - then I don't care about how many we win!

Yeah but if he is going to get demolished because we have no LT than for Gods sake let him come along and learn. Lets build the team around him one more year, and than let the guy show us what we have got. He seems perfectly fine with that (which means he has a brain). We have waited almost 30 years - lets not wait another 10 because we get our rookie QB killed too early.

Trent will be back Punch, he's just not wanting to do the daily grind of TC.. We see this with vets every yr. Yeah I'm sure he has a legit beef with the staff but we'll see what happens when his Check starts being held... I bet he will be there then

Re: Redskins predictions 2019 edition

I don’t want to see Haskins get crushed because our OL is on life support without Trent - we don’t want him to get hurt or mentally beat up because he can’t get rid of the ball fast enough or read the defenses enough to know a blitz is coming.

Still, if we lose 5 or 6 straight and are out of the playoff picture it’s time to put Haskins in for the experience.

I don’t see why we have 3 QB anyway. Make it Colt and Haskins or Case and Haskins so each of the two gets more reps. Does anyone actually think we’re going anywhere with Case or Colt? Colt is a Qb rating average in the mid-70s, Case is mid-80s. Neither has a great arm, and Colt especially in an INT generating machine. Worse case bring in Haskins by week 5.
