Trent Williams issues with Skins are not financial at all according to numerous sources with knowledge of the situation. He's told teammates he has demanded a trade or his release from the club due to their handling of his recent medical situation. Has vowed not to play for them

Your opinions on talent evaluation are no longer valid because anybody with two working eyes can see Trent is easily one of, if not the best player on this team.

His backup (in the event his backup is Ereck Flowers) also coincidentally happens to be one of the worst players on this team.

Being the best player on the team doesn't say a lot. Due to the fact that we've been losing since he's been here.

I don't recall hearing anything about the handling last year? What would he be that mad about?

If this is true, I'd tell him right now, you ain't getting traded or released so you can go sulk in the corner until you're ready to play. It's too late to replace our starting LT with anything near equal quality.

This strikes me as out of step with Trent's character.

Also, why would this come out now if this was such an issue? There are many reporters who would have jumped at this news before today.

Agree, the release of the info is conveniently timed. I think it's coming from the agent in an attempt to drive demand.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal

So his agent is either being shady as fuck to get more money or he is really demanding release/trade?

Ahhhhhh, life of a Skins fan.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal

Any time our team runs into money issues like this, it makes me think how f*cking lucky the Pats are.

Yes they have a great coach, but things are a hell of a lot easier, when you don't need to pay your best player.

There is no way in hell a story like this is kept under wraps like that. Especially with some of the drama thirsty reporters we have in this area.

Sheehan, Russell, Paulsen, and the Junkies are going to have a field day with this. They love this shit.

Yeah, I'm not going to worry about it unless he is still not showing up at training camp. Hopefully whatever the issues are, they can work it out. Trent belongs here. I think both sides will regret it if he leaves.
