My last job before self employment decades ago was working at a place that had a lot of Vietnamese employees. One of them told me different voice inflictions can change the meaning of speech. To me it often seemed like they were yelling at each other, I was always waiting for them to start swinging. I would not want to deal with that with a hangover.

Monday really should be a national holiday.

We're headed to a coworker's house for the game. Buffalo wings, Pacifico, watching the game on the deck/patio in 70 degree weather, praise be.

Interesting. Don't see too many Vietnamese-only speaking people any more. Must have come to the US recently.

This should be a great game. Can't recall the last time I've looked forward to a Super Bowl as this one. I think it could come down to Jimmy G. KC will score some and SF will stop them some. I still think they get minimum 25 points potentially in the 30s. SF's running game alone will not be enough offense against the KC. Jimmy G will need to play well for them to win.

Thats why I'm going with the Chiefs. Mahomes is a difference maker and he showed that last 2 games and then some. Jimmy G is good, they wouldn't be in the game without him. But I don't see him as being that guy, if he was the Pats wouldn't have traded him. If it comes down to it, I go with the hot QB.

I’m pulling for KC but the match up is the worst possible to for KC.

San Fran: 30
KC: 26

I definitely agree on that, especially since he was traded for a second. The Patriots rarely get the short end of a trade deal. Belichick letting him go for a second screams, good, not great QB. I do think the talking heads don't give Jimmy G the credit he deserves. He has went 19-5 since joining a team that was 1-10 before he got his first start, so that makes him a winner and better than most.

Anyone else listen to Colin Cowherd? I swear before the play-offs started he was saying Garoppolo was the 49ers weak link, this past week he has been praising him. I swear Cowherd seems to change his mind about things every time the wind blows a different direction.

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

49ers 20
Chiefs 7
Niners get 9 sacks
Mahomes probably leaves game with injury.
Bosa, MVP.
The 9-0 Redskins game was a clue.
Mahomes is 24. Only 5 QBS under age 25 have won a SB.
State Farm = SF
Mahomes and Rodgers are friends in commercial = they both lose to SF.

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

I'm sticking with NFC and going 9ers, plus their record last year surely brings us all hope. That said it would be nice to see Reid win a ring. It'll be about 4am over here before I get to bed so lets just hope its a great game regardless of the result, last years was a stinker!

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

KC can not let the 49's get a lead on them like they have let other teams do during the playoffs. 49's defense is their strength as for an all rounded team I will go with KC with Reid and Spaggs as DC.

KC 24

49's 17

If Mahomes plays up to potential and Chiefs D can hold htat 9ers run game in check I'm going 35-24 Chiefs.

49ers are probably gonna win.
