Re: Redskins Bye week

Please show up Josh doctson!

I think Desean Jackson has 3 touchdowns longer than Doctson has yards this season.
If he doesn't produce, we need to bench him because any production is more than what he is doing at this point.

Has anyone heard of the status of our new receiver Michael Floyd? Is he a possession type outside receiver?

Biggest surprise - killing the Pack.
Biggest disappointment - getting killed by the Colts.
The great thing is that before the season our schedule looked brutal, but at this point it looks much easier.

I see a lot of under-appreciated WRs across the league making impacts...Jon Brown (coulda signed him fo cheap), Kenny Stills, Robert Woods, Randall Cobb, Sanu, etc....

We need to bring in competition for Doc position if he continues to disappoint.

We don't have to spend big money to get a contributor...this offseason we should invest in guy who can play...and it doesn't have to be a Paul Richardson size deal.
That's because Grant is actually a better NFL wr. For all the shit he got around here he made some pretty tough catches in traffic last year. That's why he got a decent contract. All Doc seems to be able to do is leap over someone. He can't run crisp disciplined routes that can get himself consistent separation. If he can't have a big game against the Saints then it will never happen for the guy.

We got Green Bay at the right time under the right circumstances. I want to see how our defense can match up w/ the Saints on their indoor turf.

Agree here. Brees has been playing lights out. Keys to defending this team will be taking away his options. We'll need Norman to really get up for this game - he needs to get to that dark knight place or whatever he calls it and really go to work on Thomas.

Then the front seven has to keep Kamara and Ingram (yes he's back) in check. If we let the Saints get ahead of the chains then I don't think we're stopping Brees. We have to keep them in challenging down and distances which is going to require stopping the run.

I think the pride factor has to come through here. Norman especially needs to dig deep and be a star when we need him.

Just for the record, this is not a game that looks easier. Lol. The Saints at home are always tough. Atlanta, TB - they actually went from very winnable game - to tough game- back to very winnable, Texans, Giants, Cowboys, even the Birds all look like very winnable games now.
However it is the Redskins so who knows which team will show up. So far this year, albeit only three games, we have seen two very different trams.

Re: Redskins Bye week

There are rumors on Twitter that there's a Doctson trade in the works. He wasn't at practice today and when asked Gruden said he'd give a full injury report tomorrow. Right now it just sounds like wild speculation. I can't imagine what team out there would be willing to give anything up for him.

Yup

"Josh Doctson missed practice because he had his heel stepped on and they wanted him to get it checked out. He was back in the building later. Seemed ok. But Don’t know the severity. More update Thursday."

Re: Redskins Bye week

Idk what to believe but given the very disappointing start to the season for him so far, if we did get a decent trade offer for him I'd take it.

Re: Redskins Bye week

At some point how do you keep starting him?? Does production not count?? So far doctson has been a total wasted pick. We have waived players who could actually produce results to keep him..
